The Family Girl Very Happy This Week

I love this past week. I've received so much love from everyone!

First, Janine (my friend all the way back from my MDC days), said that she read my books in my wishlist blog here in The Family Girl Blog. So this angel sent me through email a complete set of Percy Jackson E-books!!! Not only that! She also sent The Twenties Girl and The Last Song E-books! I so love them!! Kahit na nakabili na ako ng book one ng Percy Jackson and yung The Twenties Girl (because meron na silang paperback, Php 265 only), I still appreciated all the ebooks!!! Thanks so much mare!! Love yah!!

Second, when I stepped on the weighing scale this morning, I found out that I lost two pounds already!!! Walang diet yan ha! I'm thinking of not eating rice na talaga from tomorrow on. Okay, serious na talaga ako ngayon. Hindi na nakakatawa yung stress ko every morning while looking for something to wear to work. My. Clothes. Need. To. Fit. Me. Again. Period.

Third, everybody knows that Zara's on sale now. Medyo delayed ang pagpunta ko kasi I know, I won't enjoy shopping that much ngayon kasi nga ang juba ko. But, I forgot, Zara has kids section nga pala!!! So I went and ang na-abutan ko na lang is this pink sleeveles top (Php 250, i think) and this super kyooot blue hat for anika! I wanted to buy more pero latak na lang natira dun sa Zara in Glorietta. Ka-sad pero still, I got to buy Anika her Zara clothes!! =)

 

Fourth, super thanks to Minnie Tapawan-Biscocho for sending me the dresses above. The left one's for me. A pretty Esprit long dress and at the right, a lavander dress for Anika. Thanks so much Minnie! Anika and I love the dresses! =)

Lastly, I dunno what got into Wowa (my mom), but she called me this afternoon to say that she'll take me shopping daw. Actually, she said she'll buy me groceries because napanis lahat ng food namin sa ref because of that brownout that Basyang caused. I told mama I needed clothes more than groceries. (Alvin gave me a murderous look hehe). Totoo naman eh, groceries we can buy kasi nasa budget, but my clothes.. WALA. So I let Wowa buy me clothes =) We went to Mango and The Ramp but found nothing. We went to Debenhams and I was in heaven!!! I found this sparkly Red Herring flats which I adored so much. Mama forced me to fit all this mommy work clothes na hindi ko type. Buti na lang I found super kikay work clothes in the 11-16 years old section of Debenhams. Seriously. I have a three month old daughter, a household that I run, I department that I supervise and I still buy clothes in the teens section of Debenhams. (Kasalanan ko ba kung gigantic ang sizes abroad? hehe!). After Rustan's we went to Zara and Terranova to buy a couple more work clothes for me. Oh I love this day!! Super happy! I haven't shopped for the longest time! Thank God for Mommies noh?!

The only thing that ruined my good mood was this:

In the middle of our shopping escapade, the strap of my bag (the one I featured in my Bag Raid) broke. I placed safety pins to connect it so that I wouln't have to carry it using my arms. I felt so sad. Chaps pa naman yang bag na yan and it wasn't cheap. Ang bilis masira. I've only used it once before and ngayon, gamit ko siya ng one week lang, sira na. Hay! You can't have everything naman. Okay lang. I told Girlie if she likes it, she can have it na. Paayos niya na lang siguro yung strap or something.
