The Baby Now Looks Like A Lady

Anika had her ears pierced this morning at Asian Hospital. Her pedia (who we all love!), Dra Rose Capeding, wasn't the one who did it because her ear piercing gun was broken. So she referred us to one of her friends, Dra. Josephine Cruz.

Our appointment was at 10am so we left our house at 830am and went to pick up Alvin's mom at their house. Buti naman hindi masyado matraffic so we were at Asian na by 10am. However, we had to wait a while coz the doctor hasn't arrived yet.

Here are the photos and I believe they will do more justice than me telling you the story =)

I took this shot of my mag-ama while we were waiting at the lobby. I love Asian because the clinic lobby is spacious, clean, has a TV (which was showing cartoons that time) and has view of the Alabang-Filinvest flyover. Ang cute nila noh? Anika was mimicking her tatay here. Good mood ang lola niyo ng mga panahon na yun.

The next shots of Anika was while she was playing with Tatay. Ang saya saya pa niya dito hehe

We were at Dra. Cruz's office already. Anika was so bibo, she was showing doctora her "walking" skills!

Here naman, Doc was explaining that Anika's earlobes are like mine (which are weird). Both of us do not have earlobes like normal people. So Doc was explaining where she will be putting the earrings. She also explained that in case allergic si Anika sa earrings (which was only gold plated but hypo-allergenic), we need to replace them with at least 18k gold earrings. Umm.. paging WOWA! =) Doc also taught me how to hold Anika while she "guns" her for the earring.

Anika was smiling all this time. Doc was so natutuwa with her kasi ngisi ng ngisi!

Kaso, ayan, look at the face na when Doc was cleaning her ears with alcohol. That's her, "I dont think I'll like what you'll do to me" look.

Doc here was putting a mark where she'll make butas. She said she prefers it more na magbakuna kaysa maghikaw ng bata kasi mas matagal yung maghikaw. The mark needs to be approved by us (especially me!) Oo nga naman, that will be her earring hole forever!

After approving the mark, I chose na Anika's earrings. I chose the star shaped one (choices were heart, round and silver round earrings). Siyempre, I picked the pinaka-maarte na shape divah? =) Kailangan earrings palang, alam na nila na "Ay, anak yan ni Nana!" haha!

So Doc aimed then BANG! (after 2 seconds of silence), Anika bawl like there's no tomorrow!! Super kawawa grabe. I think it hurt her sobra.

Me: Shhh.. It's okay baby.. You look so pretty naman eh. Promise!! Don't cry na. Maganda naman earrings mo eh... Sige na.. Tahan na.. It takes pain to be beautiful, anak.. Tama na...

Here she is again, now with her lola carrying her. Cry talaga ng cry ng bongga!

Doc gave us instructions regarding the ear piercing. Don't remove the earrings first for at least one week. Two weeks para sure. Pwede naman maligo basta lilinis after yung spot na yun.

After the instructions, we said our thanks and goodbyes and paid Php 800 in the lobby.

Here are the doctors holding office in Room 517. Dra Capeding is Anika's original pediatrician. Dra Elena Delgado-Gomez is my OBGyn. I dunno why wala yung name nung doctor na nagear-pierce kay Anika. Hmm..

Here's Anika with her lola. I think she's making sumbong.

Shes's galit yata sakin now eh. Kasi everytime I carry her, she doesn't want. She wants kay lola or kay Girlie. Kainis nga eh. Baka she's blaming me kasi ear piercing hurt her. Hehehe!

I won't worry, tomorrow bati na kami nyan. I'll show her my earrings collection that she can borrow whenever she feels like it! =)
