Who Wants Gold?!

Genneva, a gold trading business company, had their soft opening of their Philippine office last Monday, July 12, 2010.

What were we doing there!? SECRET =p Hahaha!

Well, we came to support Tito Philip, Mr. Tan etc because they were my mom's friends. Alvin and I were the project managers of the construction of their office which is located at the 28th floor of the prestigious Pacific Star Building in Makati City. I have yet to see the the finished look of Geneva's office but Alvin said that it looks really nice. They finished the construction only last week in time for the soft opening. I will post the pictures as soon as I can go there. Weekends are super jam-packed for me so I will really try hard to find time to go there and take pictures.

Dinner was held at the function room of Avenue Hotel in Makati Avenue. Avenue Hotel isn't a 5 star hotel so I wasn't expecting much with the food but surprisingly, super sarap siya! Lalo na the brownies! Yummy!!!

The invite said formal wear so I went wearing my Tango "pregnant" formal dress. Yea, I know, AGAIN! I wore this already to my brother-in-law's wedding AND Tiffany's wedding. I didn't want to buy a new one anymore because Im firm in my belief na papayat pa ako talaga. So there. (Although, I bought a nice dress for my DLSU classmate, Aaron's wedding tomorrow hehehe)

Here I am with Alvin, my hubby. I so love this picture. Sana nga lang wala yung mga asungut sa likod. Sayang. Nevertheless, don't you think, ang ganda and gwapo namin dito? =) parang magboyfriend lang ulit =)

The photobooth was sosyal! It wasn't like the ones they hire for the wedding. Even the pictures that came out was of high quality eh. Forgot lang the tatak of the photobooth. Sowi!

The emcee and behind him their opening ceremony tarpaulin. There were a lot of guests from other countries. Most of them were the top sellers in Singapore and Malaysia.

Genneva Philippines is a gold trading company. I don't want to divulge details because I'm not that familiar with the operation but in my understanding, it's like this: You buy gold bars from them and in time if you need money, you can sell them right back to Genneva at the same price you bought it from them. It's better investment than jewelry because when you pawn jewelries, they buy them from you at a lesser price compared to how much you bought them in the first place.

If you guys are interested to be agents of Genneva or want to purchase gold, please do let me know. I'll have somebody from Geneva to call you.

Here's the highlight of the evening. We were informed that initially this wasn't included in the original program but for the audience's entertainment, an old man went up the stage and claimed that metals can stick to his body. And totoo nga!! Look at the picture!! Those were the eating utensils of the hotel. Cool ni Lolo!! Haha!

Here naman, nail hammer yang nakadikit sa kanya plus the glass tray. We were so amazed!

Here naman is my gwapong gwapong asawa. Hehe. Stay away! Akin yan! lol!!!
