Rainy Day Kwentuhan

A rainy morning to you all!

How's everybody? I hope you're all safe there inside your homes. I hope walang na-stranded or nababaha sa inyo now. Are you guys going to work? I suggest, when you're in doubt, wag na. Stay at home. Ako, I attempted to go to work today. Nakaligo na nga ako eh. I saw kasi in the news and Twitter, passable na daw ang South Super Highway. Kaso I texted one of the engineers who lives dun sa may labasan ng village namin, wagas na wagas pa daw ang baha there. Not passable. And, one of my blog readers tweeted me to tell me na baha na daw in Evangelista (thanks Kate!). That's where my office is. Plus, I was thinking, humupa na man ang baha in Magallanes, if the rain will not stop, babaha ulit yan. Stranded ang beauty ng lola niyo.

Stay at home tuloy ang peg ko.

But I really, really wanted to go to work today. I'll be reporting to the ManCom tomorrow. My report's not done yet! Kaloka yan. I'll just use siguro the data that I had last week. Naudlot lang kasi itey eh. Di ba dapat last week siya.

Anyways, somebody's all smiles that I won't be going to work today!

Kakagising pa lang, naka-bag na agad ang bagets!

I went to look for something to cook for breakfast. Ayoko na kasi ng chicken lollipop and siomai. We have been eating that for four meals already! Imagine naman kasi that Alvin brought home chicken lollipop and siomai that are good for 40 guests last Saturday morning! He thought nung Saturday yung party ko. Konti na lang, titilaok na ako.

Eto na, when I went to my "tindahan", I discovered that I have to restock already. Tsk. Ayan kasi. Alvin kept on telling me kasi not to buy so much pagnaggo-grocery. Naghunusdili ako in the the last two times that I grocery shopped, eto kinakapos tuloy kami sa stocks. This is the reason why I buy a lot eh. I don't like the feeling na wala or kulang sa bahay. Of all the days na magkulang, today pa na wagas ang ulan and baha sa labas. I really do hope the rain would stop already.

Anyways, we had a steady weekend at home. The Sombrero breakfast was brought to you by this delicious Lotus Biscoff Crunchy Spread. Thank you so much Ching (Zac's pretty mommy) for buying it for me. Tama nga kayo, for me, this is more delicious than Trader Joe. And you know what I can't believe? Madami palang ganito sa Amsterdam!

I wish I knew that when we went there last November. I would have hoarded. Ang mura kasi dun eh. They sell it here for 3x the price ata. Nakakalokang tunay.

Moving on, I got a little emotional yesterday. Anika and I met up with Wowa to buy raffle prizes for Saturday. She was walking ahead of us. Then paakyat kami ng stairs, I told her to be careful. She said,

"It's okay Nanay. I'll be fine. You don't have to worry."

Pakshet. My little girl's all grown up already!

I told her, "Anika, you grow up very fast naman. Wag ha? Slowly lang kasi gusto ko you're my little girl pa din."

She replied with,

"But I'm not little anymore, Nanay! I'm all grown up now!"

Oh men.

Kung hindi lang madami kaming dala, naglupasay siguro na ako. Time flies so fast mga bakla. Dapat wag kang kukurap otherwise, before you know it, hindi na talaga sila mga babies.

Here's what Anika wore yesterday. She chooses what she wears now:

Shirt: Gingersnaps; Tutu Skirt: Made by LT; Sandals: Salt Water

On a completely different topic, I was showing LT last night the new clothes cabinet that I bought. She told me na buti daw nagkasya dun damit ko. Sabi ko, no. My other clothes are in that other closet and the closet in our room and the closets in Anika's room. I went to show her the ones inside Anika's room. I was surprised because my clothes there occupied only 1/4 of the space.

ME: Nalipat na ba lahat ng damit ko dito?

My kasambahay said yes.

Anak ng teteng.

That was the only time it dawned to me that madami ata talaga akong ibebenta sa SoMoms Flea Market Sale!!!

Exciting!!!!
