What Happened To My Supposedly Busy Saturday?

I went to SM Bicutan yesterday after work to buy a can opener.

Apparently, it's been months since nasira yung can opener namin. Nobody ever told me. Halata daw na hindi ako naglalagi sa kusina namin.

ME: Hindi totoo yan! I cook breakfast and I make dessert!

ALVIN: Babe, nagmamando ka lang sa kusina.

Duh. Parehas din yun.

Anyway, please don't judge me (again) because I took home all of these:

I'm soooo stressed kasi at work! And then Alvin banned me pa from shopping so nakaka-stress siya lalo. Walang outlet. Lekat na yan. I went to SM to buy a can opener. I figured it's not considered shopping because para sa bahay naman siya eh. But when I got there, the kids' books were on sale. I saw these write and wipe books for Anika so bought some for her. Siyempre bibilhan mo din ng whiteboard marker and eraser. Then I saw more books on sale. Sabi nga nila, wag manghinayang pag books ang bibilhin. So I bought a lot.

I also saw a Before Sunrise VCD! Buy one take one for Php 150. And so I got another movie. Kaso nakita ko na may Mama Mia and I remembered Alvin saying he wanted to watch that movie again so I got one. I had to get another VCD kasi buy one take one nga.

In essence, nakamura pa din naman ako di ba?

The other stuff, I dunno. Sakit na ata ito.

I felt so much better afterwards though, I should let you know. Shopping is very therapeutic. I bet most of you girls out there agree with me. Basta tandaan lang ha? Wag mag-impulse buy with your credit cards. Pagsisisihan niyo yan mga bakla. Learn from me. Debit card is the way to go.

I tried explaining this to Alvin last night. It's so weird he doesn't get it. I told him that technically I wasn't shopping for myself because everything I bought, we need for the house.

ALVIN: Rubber gloves? Kailangan dito sa bahay ng rubber gloves?

Excuse me. Hindi siya rubber gloves. Rubber pot holder siya. And it's pink. Ang cute niya.

Men.

Moving forward, today was supposedly a event-filled day for me. I was invited by McDonalds to their event where they will be launching their new Smurfs Happy Meal. Anika was super looking forward to it. I was supposed to go to Gingersnaps in Greenbelt to get Anika new stuff. I'll tell you more about that soon. Then I was supposed to meet you guys at the Mom Pop Up event. And then I was supposed to attend another event. 

Everything changed when I was told yesterday that there was a PTA meeting at Anika's school this morning. Also I was texted yesterday that I have a meeting at one of our project sites. Kainez-veneracion talaga. Everything had to change. The only event that I can potentially go to was the Mom Pop Up. Besides, I promised Rone that I'd go.

Kaso lang, it rained and wala akong umbrella sa car. Ang layo nung parking lot sa building mismo. I was so inggit because I saw Kris, Jenny and Tin crossing the street with their shopping bags. I so wanted to go shopping there! Kakunchaba ata ng asawa ko ang panahon. Mantakin niyo yun?! Sayang, I love Mothering Earthlings pa naman. I wonder if they sold the Hobo Diaper bag na black and white polka dots there. Gusto ko yun eh.

Hmp.

Ayun na nga, for today, I was just able to go to the PTA meeting and the work meeting.

Okay naman the PTA meeting. We were supposed to elect the PTA officers. The nun was explaining that the officers are the ones in charge for the programs, parties etc. Alvin was looking at me, smiling. I looked at him and whispered through gritted teeth. "Babe, pagbinoto mo ako, I swear outside the kulambo ka forever." Wag na please. Hindi ko na kakayanin ang additional load. Baka tuluyan na akong masiraan ng bait. 

During the election period, walang nagnonominate or volunteer for this last position. Secretary ata yun. I swear I could hear crickets sa sobrang tahimik. I looked around and all the parents were looking around too! Ayaw magpanominate! Hahaha! And then the nun approached us and said to Anika, "How about your mommy, Anika?"

Shet.

I said very nicely, "Sorry po sister, I work full time po. Hindi ko na po keri.". I gripped Alvin's arm to back me up. 

ALVIN: Ay oo po sister. Sorry. Hindi na po kaya dahil sa trabaho.

ME: Pero kung tutulong po, no problem!

Finally, a parent volunteered na because hindi daw kami lahat makakauwi not unless all positions are filled up. 

Whew.

I told the elected president that she could call me if she need help or whatever. Hindi ko lang talaga kaya magfull-time diyan. Help help I can. I-kareer the position, no na.

And then that's it. Natapos din! =) I rushed to my other meeting after that.

Okay naman the day because I ended up having a free time. Nagpa-nail spa na lang akish.

Win-win na din kahit papaano.

Anyways, it was funny because I posted what I ate for lunch last Friday at IG.

Yes guys. There are times that I eat a lot. Hindi ko naman nauubos lahat yan. Pero I eat a lot sometimes. One of you asked how come I don't get fat. Kasi naman, I eat this for dinner.

As much as possible, I eat super little lang during dinner time. Or I eat at least 4 hours before I sleep. Ganyan. At least, even if I only get to exercise once a month, I won't gain that much weight.
