Aside from Friday's, one of my favorite restaurants is Italianni's. I can eat here every single day because of their free yummy bread and olive oil with vinegar dip. If it weren't embarrassing, I'll just order a bottomless iced tea then eat all their free bread!! Hahaha!
Anyways, last Friday, which was a holiday because it was the end of Ramadan, we went to eat at Italianni's in Alabang Town Center. As usual, this family girl is so very happy kasi super sarap the food! It's a bit pricey pero sa quality, sulit naman siya.
Here's the Olive Oil with vinegar dip. I dunno if sinasadya ni Alvin to make it look like a heart but doesn't it look pretty? =) Ang sarap ng combination of this dip with their bread! I have French vinegar and extra virgin olive oil at home. I'll try to copy this dip and buy bread from Bizu's. I'll let you know how it will turn out.
This is the bread that I was telling you. It tastes homemade and it's still warm when they serve it, usually wrapped in a cloth.
We ordered their Calamari. It was the first time I tasted it and it was so delicious! The breading was just right unlike those in the cheap restaurants where you cannot almost find the squid sa kapal ng breading.
This is my absolute fave in Italiannis. The Sicilian Salad. It has lettuce, grapes, mangoes, nuts, tomatoes and chicken. It tastes divine talaga. Kaso nagmahal na sila eh. It now costs Php 650. Dati, parang 550 pesos lang siya. Peachy and I used to order just this and have two helpings of their free bread, solved na solved na!
We also ordered their Carbonara and in fairness, lumalaban sa Carbonara ko! Yuck feeling hahaha! Kidding aside, Italianni's Carbonara tastes so good. Di siya masyado nakakaumay like other carbonaras. And the mushrooms? MUSHROOMS talaga! Ang lalaki ng slices! I love it!
But of course, you will only enjoy the food if you are in great company. That's me with my jet setter Tita Judith and our Holland based Ninang Ellen. Ninang Ellen was our wedding godparent.
The Family Girl super busog with the delicious food of Italianni's =D
