My *almost* BELO Experience

Oh yes! 

Wowa (my mom) has been complaining for quite sometime now about her flabby arms. I have been complaining about mine for four months now.

One day, Wowa called me:

Wowa: Anak, look nga for somebody who can make my arms smaller.

Me: Ma, Calayan or Belo lang ang alam ko.

Wowa: Ay, di ko type sa Calayan. Call ka sa Belo.

Me: Sige po I'll set you an appointment sa Belo Rustan's

Wowa: O, akala ko nalalakihan ka din sa arms mo?! I-sked mo na tayong dalawa. I-libre kita.

Me: Talaga?!

I literally did the monkey dance sa tuwa! Gusto kong magsindi ng fireworks sa galak!!!!

And so I called up the Belo Clinic in Rustan's to set an appointment. I like them na, nagpapa-appointment pa lang ako. They replied promptly to my requests and they were very courteous over the phone. I scheduled a 6pm appointment last Friday.

Come Friday, 5:30pm pa lang nandun na ako (di naman ako masyadong excited noh?!) with Alvin. Mama arrived shortly after 6.

That's the excited me =D

First we were asked to fill out a Patient Information Form:

Next, we had to fill out a Medical Information Form where they ask us about our medical history.

And then, the doctors called us in. She asked ano daw ang gusto naming ipagawa. We told her, gusto naming lumiit ang arms namin. Personally, I want smaller arms because it can make daya your figure. Kahit na medyo chubby ang tyan, pagmaliit ang arms, mukhang payat na. Divah?

She gave us a surgical option which is Smart Lipo which costs around 70k. Sa pagkaka-intindi ko, it's a surgical procedure talaga na complete with anesthesia tpos may IV ka din. They will make butas sa may armpits and sa may lower arms and they will get the fats. You will have to wear a binder sa arms mo for two weeks. After two weeks, bongga na ang arms mo! Maliit na and may contours pa. 

The second option is non surgical. It's called Tenor. They have this instrument na nagproproduce ng heat and energy na nagmemelt ng fats. Ni-rurub-rub yun sa arms for like 40 minutes ata. Pero hindi mo agad makikita ang results. Mga after the 6th session pa. For my arms, mga 6 sessions daw and around 7k per session.

Eh I'm a very impatient frog. Gusto ko yung SMART LIPO!! Okay lang magtiis ng two weeks basta maliit na agad ang arms. But the doctor told me na bawal pa because of my Cesarian operation. After 6 months pa daw. Na-sad talaga ako ng bongga. Lam ninyo yung feeling na bihis na bihis ka na, pero di ka pala kasama?! Ganun ang feeling.

Anyways, the doctor also advised me to wait a year pa. Kasi hindi naman daw ako tabain and there's a big chance na bumalik ako sa pre-pregnancy weight and figure ko. After a year and if I still want to have my arms' fat mabawasan, I can go back to them (if I really want Smart Lipo).

Si Wowa naman, takot magpasurgery.

Me: Ma!! Bakit ayaw mo magpasurgery?!?! Three times ka na na-Cesarian then inoperahan ka na because of gall stones, natatakot ka pa?! Wag ka na matakot! Imagine after two weeks, ganda ganda na ng arms mo! Pagnagpa-Tenor ka, after 10 sessions mo pa makikita results, halos same price lang.

Napaisip ang lola niyo. Go sige, pumayag na. So the doctor instructed her to get clearance from her doctor like the sugar level, cholesterol level etc. Ayun patay, nalungkot ang Nanay ko. Mataas daw sugar and cholesterol niya. Sorry hindi pwede, have to get clearance first sa doctor.

So what Wowa will do now is to have her chuva levels rechecked again. If her doctor gives her the go signal, go na go na siya sa Smart Lipo. Otherwise, she has no choice but to get Tenor na lang.

After the consultation, we thanked the doctor and went out of the clinic to pay for the consultation fee. Loss ang mag-ina haha! Walang nangyari that day! I thought pa naman, pwede na kami i-treat right then and there!

But you know, I commend the Belo clinic. I thought kasi before na if you wanted to have something done to your body, go na sila agad. Kita rin nila yun ha! But no pala. If you don't need it, they will tell you to wait. And if you need it, they need medical clearances from your doctor. Paghindi ka cleared, sorry ka.

And so, para may mapala naman ako, I had my picture taken na lang in front of their clinic. Remembrance ba.. =D
