How I Told Alvin I Was Pregnant

You know, I realized I never made kwento here how I found out that I was pregnant and how I told Alvin that's he's gonna be a Daddy na. I have to make kwento just in case Anika will come across this blog of mine. Wouldn't that be so cool?! =)

So here I go..

It was around July 2009 when I told Alvin that I wasn't feeling well. He said that it might be because of the stress that I was going through because we were planning our wedding that September. So deadma ako.

Then sometime early August, I scheduled a gown fitting with my bridesmaids in our new apartment (which was still bare that time). Alvin was late picking up the dressmaker and I got really, really, as in REALLY pissed at him!! So, I was with Vivian, one of my bestfriends, and I was venting out how angry I was with Alvin. Sa sobrang galit ko, I even took a drag in her cigarette. (Im so sorry Anika.) Anyways, when Alvin got to talk to me, he said that medyo mababaw yung reason sa extent ng galit ko. We talked things out and blamed it on wedding preps stress. So deadma ulit ako.

The whole month of August, I was complaining that there's something wrong with my tummy! Parang wala akong gana kumain. Alvin said that it might be from the wedding preps stress. So deadma pa din.

Come my bridal shower, end of August, I was feeling really queasy. I thought I was coming down with a fever so I took a nap first while waiting for my girlfriends to arrive. When I woke up, I threw up. I immediately thought, if this was flu, sana gumaling ako BEFORE the wedding!! And while my friends were shrieking because the stripper that we rented was running after them with his wang dangling for everyone to see (very disturbing, I tell you), I was puking my guts out in the toilet. I called Alvin to tell him to buy me antibiotics but he now said, "Let's do a pregnancy test first before you take any meds." For a while there, stunned ako. Onga no? Pwede din pala dahil buntis ako? Shucks! Then I racked my brains for anything that I had done wrong the past month. Alcohol-no; Strenuous Activities-no; Smoking-syet! (I'm really sorry baby)

So the next day, two weeks before our wedding, I pee'd on a stick. I did some other things while I was waiting for that 3 minutes so when I went back on the stick, I blanked out when I saw there were TWO RED LINES. I was pregnant alright.

Then I went up and woke up my sleeping fiance and showed him the test. "Babe, you're gonna be a daddy na.", I said.

He replied, "O? Hala! Lagot! Patay! Ikaw magsabi niyan sa Mama mo!!"

Yes.. Nilaglag ako ng supposedly knight in shining armor ko. I made tampo because when I watch movies, husbands/ fiances/ boyfriends jump for joy and hug their partners!!! Haha! He explained naman na wala pa siyang diwa that time and he was really worried what my mom would say given that our wedding was still two weeks away.

(Duh! I was twenty nine, years old na that time noh!)

Pero bumawi naman ang lolo niyo. He was super sweet to me and he took really good care of me while I was pregnant.

And now, we have this adorable, super pretty baby girl!

P.S. Wag kang gumaya sakin okay? It's bad to make babies when you're NOT YET MARRIED!
