Anika's Beauty Stuff

To all mommies, soon to be mommies and gusto maging mommies (oh let include also, all the single dads out there), I'd like to share with you my baby Anika's beauty routine..

During bathtime, we use Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser for Anika's shampoo and body. Cetaphil is a gentle, soap-free cleanser that  is specifically for everyday cleansing of even the most sensitive skin. At the bottle back it says:
- Soothing, non-irritating cleanser ideal for face, hands and body
- Helps skin retain needed moisture
-Rinses easily and leaves skin feeling soft, smooth and healthy
-Mild enought to cleanse a baby's delicate skin
Non-comedogenic / Fragrance free
Dermatologist recommended

The costs around Php 600++ for the 591 ml bottle. Before, we were using Johnson & Johnson's top-to-toe wash as shampoo para mawala yung amoy ng bunbunan ni Anika . But since, Alvin's mom has asthma which I think is hereditary so therefore Anika has parang medyo rough patches of skin sa may head, we opted to use na Cetaphil all through out. Wowa buys this for Anika at S&R at The Fort.

After taking a bath, we put the same Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser (it has mild, non-irritating formula), on Anika's face like a moisturizer. Yup Cetaphil's so mild na pwede siya i-leave on the skin. Para wag magdry yung skin ni Anika. I am thinking of buying na din the Cetaphil moisturizing cream. Okay din daw ito to use in place of the skin cleanser as moisturizer.

Actually, even before I got married, I was a Cetaphil user already. Kaya share na kami ni Anika dun sa binibili ni Wowa hehe.

After bath, we put Johnson and Johnsons Baby lotion on Anika. Super tagal na pala this product. See the evolution of the bottle's look from the year 1943 to present.

Before, we used to put powder on Anika and we were using Enfant baby powder. I loved the smell of this product kasi baby na baby! However, since nga may lahi sina Alvin ng asthma, our pedia advised not to use powder muna. To you other mommies out there, if you don't have naman lahi ng asthma, i recommend this Enfant baby powder.

When Anika poopoos naman, we use cotton balls soaked in water in wiping her bottom (for girls, remember, palabas ang wiping. from the pepe to the pwet. Para hindi makaintroduce ng bacteria sa loob ng pepe niya which can lead to UTI). We buy cotton balls (SM Bonus, so much cheaper halos same lang the quality), then put them in a sealed jar with water. Just make sure you replace the water fequently para hindi dirty. We sometimes us the Johnson and Johnsons top to toe wash as soap and para mawala ang smell.

When we're out naman, I bring Giggles wet wipes. Its very safe for baby's skin. Super cheaper pa compared to other brands.

In cleaning her ears, we buy this baby cottonbuds. Yup, they have that in SM grocery. The tips are much smaller than the regular cotton buds.

For Anika's diapers nama, I've tried and tested na almost all the diapers out there and now we only buy

Pampers comfort. Anika never had rashes, the material is soft and it also smells nice.

When Anika's older na and pwede na siya magcologne, I'd want to use sana

I've been a fan of Nenuco eversince highschool and I want Anika to use them to. I dunno lang where to buy these, the original ones ha. Before kasi, I bought a lot na (as in liters of it) when we went to Madrid. Super duper cheaper dun i swear.

So there, bata pa kasi si Anika kaya konti pa lang ang kikay stuff niya.

You other mommies out there? Do you have baby products suggestions?! Comment away!!
