Scary Saturday Night

Our Saturday started out pretty normal.

I woke up because Anika was bugging me to open the TV. I took her with me to the market instead to buy her fruits and some vegetables.

Anika even insisted on having her outfit of the day taken.

Yeah, that's her pillow. She wanted to bring it with her.

After breakfast, we headed to Active Fun for Anika and Zac's playdate. I'll tell you all about what these two adorable kiddos did in a separate post.

And then after, Anika and I went to SM Aura to attend the launch of Petit Bateau. I will again tell you about that in a separate blog post.

I just have to make kwento that while the model mommies and their kids were making rampa on the stage,

ANIKA: Nanay! Is it our turn already?

ME: No anak. We're here to watch only.

ANIKA: No! I want to model too!

ME: No anak. Next time maybe.

Ayun. Nagwala ang lola niyo. She didn't stop until I brought her on the stage.

And she worked it..

Anong sey niyo mga bakla?! =) May future di ba? Lol.

Anyways, earlier this morning, I asked Vivian, Pineda, Arnaiz and Bing if we could meet up at Cafe Breton in Magallanes for a much needed chikahan portion. I was so happy that everyone was available tonight. I told them that I will be doing their outfit of the day shots and bag raids.

=) Well, they're my bestfriends. They love me. After ilang reklamo, they agreed naman.

After SM Aura, I brought Anika home and went saglit to the R. Locsin Skin & Wellness Clinic for my Thermatone session. I received a call from Wowa that she's having her hair digipermed at Tony & Jackey. Puntahan ko daw siya so I did. She was put inside a VIP room at dun kami nagchikahan ng wagas.

Chikahan galore kami. I'm very lucky to have a mom who I can tell absolutely anything to. She has my back and I have hers. I wish Anika and I will be this close too.

At around 8pm, I asked permission from Wowa if I can go na to Cafe Breton to meet the girls. I told her to follow na lang there too.

Pineda and Vivian were already there when I arrived. Arnaiz arrived shortly after. Bing was to follow from her event at The Fort.

While I was starting to eat this Le Magnifique crepe, Alvin called me.

ALVIN: Babe! May bumato sa bahay natin. Basag yung bintana.

WTF?!

ME: Sinasadya?!

ALVIN: Hindi ko alam. Teka nandito na yung mga tanod.

Anak ng pating yan.

Hindi ako mapakali so I called the house was able to talk to Anika's yaya.

ME: Anong nangyari?!

ME: What?!

ME: May sugat?!

YAYA: Ummm di naman po. Konti lang.

ME: Ano ba! Dumudugo ba or hindi?

YAYA: Konti po.

That did it. Nagpaalam na ako sa girls.

From Magallanes to our house usually takes me 25 minutes.

When I arrived, Anika ran towards me while crying.

ANIKA: Nanay! I have bubog on my head.

I checked her forehead and I saw a small gash.

Pusa yan.

After everyone has calmed down, Alvin told me what happened.

Upper arrow is the side where the glass broke. Lower arrow was where Anika and Alvin were kneeling.

They were praying at the foot of Anika's bed when suddenly Alvin heard a loud sound and then the glass of the window above them shattered. As in bubog daw everywhere.

He immediately got Anika, checked if she was bleeding anywhere and gave her to the yaya. He told the yaya to get all the bubog out of her hair and to check further if she got hurt. And then he went outside tapos nagsisisigaw dun.

Apparently, there was a gang war at a street near ours. Bwisit talaga. Buti na lang Anika was kneeling on the floor. If she was sitting on our bed and watching TV, all the glass shards would have flown directly to her face!

Naiiyak ako when I think about what could have happened. Even inside your own house, parang hindi din ganun ka-safe?! Anong klase yan?!

ALVIN: We were praying Angel of God when that happened.

Yes. I believe that too.

So there, Anika doesn't like to sleep in our room anymore. Natrauma yung bata. I got her bed mattress and put it in our sala. Dun siya nakatulog.

The tanods weren't able to catch the boys who did this because the fight dispersed when the tanods arrived.

Nakakainis talaga, I swear.
