Cooking and Staying At Home

Hi guys!

While the madlang people are fussing about the sex video of Chito Miranda and Neri Naig, kami ni Sombrero ay nananahimik sa bahay. Like I told you, I don't know bakit kami nagtitipid. We have savings in the bank which for me is enough. Apparently, hindi siya enough para kay Sombrero. Even our day to day gastos, he's auditing.

Pagtitipid daw kasi is a way of life. Hindi daw porke I stayed home and didn't make gastos for a day, nagtitipid na ako. Even if you're earning more than you were, say like, two years ago, dapat hindi magbabago ang lifestyle. Para akong nasa financial planning seminar everyday, mga ateng. Sombrero's nagging is effective though. Hindi na tuloy ako namimili (masyado) ngayon.

Ayan, wala tuloy akong ma-blog. Di ba?!

Hehe.

Yesterday morning, Alvin and I went to the palengke. We were arguing because I didn't want to buy meat dun sa suki niya. Ayaw niya kasi kami patawarin. Kahit piso ha. Annoying paghindi ka pinapatawad sa palengke. Eh close sila nung matanda so we still bought meat from her yesterday.

ME: Sige pero pork lang ang bibilhin mo ha?

ALVIN (to the tindera): Manang isa't kalahating baboy po at saka isang kilong giniling.

TINDERA: Beef, hindi?

ALVIN: Hindi na po. Babalikan na lang din po namin yung kukunin namin.

So we went around to buy fish and chicken and the beef.

While I was buying chicken, Alvin got and paid for the meat dun kay manang. Pagbalik ng lolo mo,

ALVIN: Babe, kinuha ko na din yung beef. Nahiwa na daw niya kasi eh.

ME: O eh ano ngayon?! May beef na tayo eh.

ALVIN: Sige na hayaan mo na.

ME: Hayaan mo na? Eh di ba sinabi mo sa kanya wag na beef. Pinatawad ka ba this time?

ALVIN: Hindi.

ME: O kita mo. Ayaw ko na talagang bumili dun ha!

ALVIN: In fairness mas okay na pinagaawayan natin ngayon. Dati nagagalit ako kakashopping mo. Ngayon nagtatalo na tayo kasi hindi ka pinapatawad sa palengke.

Pak.

I went to do the groceries also after that. I made a list and stuck to it.

At the end, I paid for half of what I usually pay for when I do the groceries. Effective talaga ang may list and sticking to it.

At dahil nakatipid ako, I figured I deserve a reward! I bought this really nice kimono at Seek the Uniq online store.

Hehehe. Sulit namna yan mga muthers because it's really pretty and you know how much I love kimoto cover ups ;)

Anyways, another good thing na nadudulot ng staying at home is that we get to discover how to cook different dishes. You'd be surprised because si Alvin, kinakareer niya ito. Alvin cooks well. He enjoys it.

Samantalang ako, mga smoothies na masasarap lang ang kaya kong gawin. You should taste my avocado smoothie. That's avocado, milk and sugar with konting ice. I swear, it's so delicious!

I attempt naman to cook ulam. Like last night, I tried to cook beef salpicao.

Hindi ko alam bakit siya nagmukhang adobo. 

I swear wala talaga akong talent diyan.

Pero my pasta, winner siya. I made Shrimp Alique pasta last night. In fairness, for me, mas masarap siya kaysa dun sa carbonara ko. I love it! =)

I should stick to smoothies and pasta para hindi sayang yung mga pinamamalengke. Lol.
