Singapore Day 2: Marina Bay Sands

After our Ikea and outlet shopping in the morning, I asked Wowa if we can go back to our hotel room for a while to rest. My throat was starting to hurt na and I was having the sniffles already. Nahiya naman ako kay Wowa kasi full of energy pa yung isa. She's 60 years old already and she wasn't showing any sign of tiredness. Samantalang ako, half her age, kung ano ano na ang nararamdaman. Iba talaga si Wowa. Iba ang the original. Hindi ko matatalo sa shopping.

Hahaha!

Anyways, back in our hotel room, I took a power nap. My friend Ken picked us up at the hotel. He and Ronie, my ex officemates, were going with us to Marina Bay Sands.

To tell you the truth, I was very curious ano ba meron diyan sa Marina Bay Sands na yan. I wanted to see what the fuss was all about.

When we arrived, via taxi of course, namangha na ako agad.

Ang shala ng place!

This is their convention/expo halls.

There's a mall pala at Marina Bay Sands. Thank you Ken for taking my and Wowa's first ever matinong photo together in our trip =)

The mall was huge! Natural light ang peg! Tipid sa kuryente. It was very spacious inside.

Yun lang. The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands houses luxury brands. It's like Greenbelt 4 times 100x ang size. I saw AX Armani Exchange, Bottega Veneta, Bvlgari, Cartier, Dior, Escada, Furla, Gucci, Louise Vuitton, Longchamp and other brands that I cannot pronounce. The most affordable brand that I saw there was Mango Touch and Charles and Keith.

To see the complete list of the stores, click here.

At the basement, near towards the MRT station, they have a man made body of water where customers can ride the boats.

Wagas din ang TWG there. It's almost at every floor!

Pero wala lahat yan dito sa water feature na itey. Thank you Ronie for this photo.

That water show was amazing. Well, hindi naman mega amazing pero it was kakaiba for me so aliw na aliw ako. Gallons and gallons of water was swirling outside the inverted dome at the roof towards the center which was pouring into the body of water inside the mall. It was very relaxing to watch.

And of course, nagbigay pugay ako kay Pareng Louis Vuitton. The Louis Vuitton store outside the Marina Bay Sands has it's own island. Ang bongg lang talaga.

Outfit of the day muna:

Shirt: Zara; Skirt: Forever 21, Slippers: Jelly Nelly
I didn't go inside the LV store anymore. Mahirap na. Before this trip, I told myself that I'd go for quantity. I won't buy luxury items. I have a very low EQ so I didn't tempt myself anymore. And besides, baka lumipad si Sombrero sa SG at kaladkarin na ako pauwi ng Pinas. Hehehe.

After going around the mall, we went inside the Marina Bay Sands hotel naman to check it out.

It was beautiful inside. I remember Alvin watching how they built the hotel sa Discovery Channel ba yun or National Geographic? Halos wala sigurong value engineering ang naganap when building this hotel.

Wowa said that she won't be coming with us anymore to the Gardens by the Bay. She met with her former officemate and had tea na lang inside the mall. And so me, Ronie and Ken na lang ang naghanap paano makakarating sa Gardens by the Bay.

Nawala kami ng slight so I called the mall personnel who was walking ahead of us.

ME: Excuse me sir. Umm.. do you know how.. umm... do you know how we can get to.. ummm..

GUY: San po kayo pupunta?

ME: Anak ka ng teteng. Pilipino ka pala! Nahirapan pa ako!

Hahahaha!

Ang daming Pinoy sa SG, I swear.

Anyways, the kind guy taught us the way. Sakay daw kami ng elevator.

We did and when we went out of the elevator, this was what we saw:

Wow.
I didn't waste any moment mga ateng. Tumakbo ako agad at nagposing.

Tourist lang talaga ang peg.

The three of us are Civil Engineers so imagine us standing there analyzing the structure. Hahaha! Hindi na lang mag-appreciate ng katulad ng normal na turista eh ano? =))

There's a pool on top of the three towers. Infinity pool ang peg and it's really beautiful there sabi ni Ken. You need to be checked in sa hotel for you to be able to experience the pool.

Here's Ken and Ronie =)

I also like this reflector churva that hangs on one side of the building. Ang ganda ng effect. Ang taba ng utak ng nakaisip nito.

Then finally, we saw the Gardens by the Bay.

I dunno if it's just me lang pero I felt like I was in the Avatar movie. Kulang na lang mga Avatars talaga. But the place sure looked really nice. Ganda nung garden.

Kung may time lang, I would have jogged here ng umagang umaga.

We weren't able to climb that bride anymore though.

There's a restarant daw on top of that tower.

After that we went back na to the mall. Sunset na. Eto ang view.

Lucky for us, they were practicing for their National Day. There were jets flying all over the place. It was soooooo cool!!!

Hay. Yun lang. Next time we go there, we'll check in sa Marina Bay Sands hotel. I seriously have to experience that infinity pool!!!!!
