Products That Anika and I Love

I've been always asked through email if I could share the products that I use with Anika.

So ayun, I got all the things that Anika and I use so that I can share them with you. Disclaimer mga bakla, hindi sponsored post ito ha? These are the products that we really use.

How do I pick ba the brands?

I am lucky because I am surrounded with mommies who are more experienced that I am. I ask them. I read their blogs. I read their reviews then I try them. I don't rely that much sa mga advertisement. Gusto ko yung mga tried and tested na talaga. If in doubt naman, I post in Facebook or Twitter for recommendations. You'd be surprised kasi my best finds are mostly recommendations nga by my mommy friends.

Unahin na natin yung kay Anika.

For bathing, Anika uses the Suave Watermelon 3 in 1 which her Ninang Janis gave her. She also uses the Johnson's conditioning shampoo. Yung Cetaphil cleanser, I use on her if her skin asthma is acting up. I should always use the Cetaphil cleanser on her kaso wala kasing amoy. So I alternate na lang the Suave with it.

Since Anika has skin asthma, it's very important to moisturize her skin. Hindi pwedeng ma-dry. I use the Physiogel lotion or the Aveeno lotion or the Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion on her.

For her cologne, I use Mustela (not in picture) which is super bango. I alternate it with the Nenuco which I requested my friend, Mars, to buy in Spain during one of her trips there. It's super cheaper there compared here.

Anika is a faithful user of Indigo Baby's Jar of Hope. I put it in her insect bites and kamots. She also uses the Stelatria of Mustela kasi wagas minsan siya magkamot. The Petroleum Jelly comes in handy too. When Anika has cough and colds, I rub Vapor Soove on her chest and back. I got this from Tin of the Manila Fashion Observer. Vapor Soove is safe for babies because unlike the other vapor rubs, it doesn't contain camphor, which may cause seizures on babies. This is suitable for babies 6 months and above. Those are the products that Anika often uses.

For me naman, for my hair, gusto ko iba iba yung shampoo. I like the Dove shampoo and conditioner, Head and Shoulders and the shampoo and conditioner that Wowa buys from Regine's Salon.

For my fez, I exfoliate using the St. Ives Apricot Scrub. I have been using that since my high school days. Every other day ko siya ginagamit during night time. During the day naman and at nights when I don't use the apricot scrub, I use Celeteque's Hydration facial wash and Anika's Cetaphil Cleanser. They're very safe for my sensitive skin. Nagka-skin asthma na din ako sa face di ba? I noticed that when I use these products, my skin asthma does not act up.

For the body, I love using the Kiehl's body wash (bibili ako ng malaki niyan once maubos etong libreng small bottle that I got), the Dove body wash and the Nivea Touch of Radiance.

I also got that rattan container for myself.

For lotions, I share the Aveeno with Anika. I also use the Celeteque Brightening Radiance Body Cream. Ever since I did a review on that last January, I have been using it regularly. I love the smell and how my skin feels really soft after. Speaking of smell, ang bango din nitong Vanilla and Cedarwood lotion of Kiehl's. Ang lakas maka-donya ng feeling after. For my hands (I'm very vain about my hands), I used what MFO suggested: Grandma's Secret Miracle Moisturizer. Winner ito mga bakla.

For the fez, my BB Cream of choice is Laneige. I have heard a lot of good reviews kaya I tried it. Mahalia siya pero worth it naman. It's coverage is just right and I love that fact that my face powder doesn't cake when I apply over it. And since I have skin asthma, it's important to always moisturize. Hindi pwedeng magdry ang skin because it becomes itchy. For the skin asthma, I put the Desowen Cream. This was given to me by my derma. For moisturizing, I use Pysiogel Intesive Cream and Celeteque's Hydration Facial Moisturizer. Important ang mga yan because they're very gentle. They don't irritate my skin at all.

Ang others ko naman: For my nails, I use the Orly tan polish. I'm going to buy na an Orly red nail polish soon kasi parang gusto ko mala-Ruby ang nails ko all the time. I use Dove Whitening deodorant. I also use Moroccan Argan Oil for my face every now and then. A lot of people swear by this product and I know why. Nakakaganda talaga ng skin eh. I use this at night before I go to bed. And of course, I drink Myra E for my Vitamin E needs. Vitamin E is good for the skin. Eto lang halos na vitamins, aside from Vitamin C, that I drink.

For the hair, I use Monea (very cheap, can be bought at Watson's) for my curls and Kerastase for my tuchangs.
