ME: Anika and Nanay...
ANIKA: Together... Forever!!!
OMG. You should hear her when she says that. It really melts my heart.
Ganyan kami maglambingan mag-ina.
I am generally a malambing person. I love to snuggle. I love hugs. I love being kissed.
When I became a mom, that feeling doubled. I can't get enough of Anika! I love hugging her. I love kissing her. OMG. Umay na umay na ata ang anak ko sa akin! One will not be able to count how many times I kiss her a day. These are just some of the many reasons how I show Anika how much I'm in love with her.
Johnson's Baby call this Signatures of Love.
Before I continue, lemme share with you guys Johnsons' new Signature of Love video:

After watching the video, I also began to think. How do I show my love ba for Anika? What are the things that we do? What are our Signatures of Love?
It doesn't have to be en grande. Our love is shown even in the simplest ways.

There are our weekly weekend pasyals. Anika and I love going to the malls and we drag Alvin with us. We don't need to spend on anything. We just love the feeling of being together, holding hands and just going around the malls. We force Alvin to let us eat ice cream. I ride with her on the merry-go-round. We let her roam in and out of the stores. She likes it eh.
Anika also loves playing with us.
We like teaching her new games. I teach her how to play volleyball. Alvin taught Anika to play hopscotch. Anika and I also like playing pretend and role playing. Every weekend we're like that.
But my most favorite Nanay and Anika Signature of Love is how we spend time in bed before Anika actually sleeps. Every night, after I have bathed and dressed her up in her pjs, we stay in bed to watch a little TV, make harutan for a while and then I tell her bed time stories of her choice. It's usually Jack and the Beanstalk. As in gasgas na gasgas na yang kwentong iyan sa amin but Anika loves hearing it before she falls asleep. We pray together and then she will say, "Nanay, please stay with me.". She means that she'll sleep na on her bed and I have to stay by her foot while she sleeps. She feels secure this way, me thinks.
Those are only some of the ways of how we show our love for each other. Napagawa din tuloy ako ng sarili naming video. Do you guys wanna see? =)

Our babies will not remain forever as babies. They will grow older. You will be surprised how time flies so fast. Let us savor these moments that we spend time with them. Minsan lang sila magiging bata.
