I'm Staying At Home for the Day

Good morning guys!

I didn't go to work today. Grabe my cough and colds eh. Wagas na wagas. Alam niyo yung sticky cough? Yung tipong mahapdi na umubo? Ganun. And my nose? Hay naku. Super stuffy. I can't hear that well ngayon kasi feeling ko pati ears ko may sipon. Sorry, too much information. Pero you get the picture? Kaloka. It's been a while since I last got sick. It's weird though because in the morning, kaya ko. Pero at night, I get fever and the cough gets worse. Ang hirap din. Last night nga eh, Alvin and I kasi have a tampuhan (I know, again!), eh alam niyo yung feeling when you're sick and you need lambing?

ME: Babe, please make me lambing first because I'm sick. Saka na tayo magdeadmahan ulit pagmagaling na ako.

ALVIN (smiling): Ayos ah. May scheduleang away?

With that, nagbati na kami.

=)

Anyways, this morning, I told my boss that I'll rest for a while then I'll report for work na lang this afternoon. He replied na magpahinga daw muna ako. Ang bait =) Maybe because naawa siya sa akin yesterday when he was talking to me. Ang ngongo ko kasi eh. That or baka ayaw niya ako magkalat ng virus sa office. Lol.

On a different topic, not naman that I'm happy ha, pero I feel quite relieved when I read your comments in my blog entry about Anika and schooling. Hindi pala ako nagiisa. Same thing happened this morning when we were getting Anika ready for school.

Come bath time, she went inside the room and nahiga sa kama niya.

ME: Anika, please take a bath already.

ANIKA: But I love my bed Nanay.

She kisses her bed.

ANIKA: I love my bed and I want to stay here forever.

Hanep.

It was very hard for us to make her take a bath and prepare to school. Wagas na wagas ang drama. Meron pang, "Please don't leave me Tatay!" while clinging to Alvin's legs.

And when finally we were able to dress her up, ganito naman ang drama niya:

Anak ng teteng talaga.

She only rode her school bus when I told her that I will be here when she gets back from school.

ANIKA: But Ate Ellen will leave me?

ME: No Anika, Ate Ellen will be there in your school the whole time.

Ayun after a hug and a kiss, umalis na sabay, "I love you Nanay! I'll miss you!".

Shetpaks.

Nakakatouch.

  1. Get well soon Fleur, baka hangover ng trip at shopping to death ka kasi! :)
Normal yang drama ni Anika... si M ko ganyan din kami every year nalang, for the past 3 years! As in naka-sampay sa leg ko habang papasok ng classroom, or iiyak din sa room ang ayaw mag bihis, so late kami most of the time!
Tiis tiis na lang ang it will pass din pag nasanay na si Anika, alam niya walang lusot sa school.

  4. awww...mommy fleur, alam mo ba pag naglalakad ako sa SM, Glorietta, Landmark or Greenbelt eh iniisip ko na sana makasalubong kita LOL at magpapapic ako sayo!!!!

anyway, sa sipon issue mo. why not try the neti pot regimen. watch this video from youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=13Xb5i3vpAY

Last april kasi I had a very bad sipon and ear infection and feeling ko nabingi ako due to my sobrang pagsuswimming then I went to 2 doctors but the medicine they gave me did not help at all. I found out that one cause of sipon talaga eh ung pressure inside the ear that gives us headache and nangongo. So since, mahilig kasi ako sa "home remedies" and it really help me alot. Try mo kaya yan neti pot kesa mag-iinom ka ng gamot na delikado pa sa kidney mo. Neti pot for sure yung makakatulong :) and don't forget to drink lots of water and rest din ;)

    Get well soon!

  6. I think your cough and colds are probably allergies. Dahil sa haze yan kasi kahit nag decrease na ng konti for sure may natirang remnants of smog pa sa air. Take cetirizine or loratadine and lots of vitamin c.

PS. Please post your shopping loots =)

  7. One thing i've learned from being a parent is that kids go through phases, and that the saying "this too shall pass" is ALWAYS right. My daughter went through the following phases as a child -- crying when i would drop her off at school, humihiga sa floor ng stage during class special numbers, nahihiya sa strangers etc. Now she's 8 and super smart, friendly, confident, active in school, member ng dance club. Sometimes i remember those times na super frustrated and naiiyak ako sa inis, i wish i could go back in time and assure myself na temporary lang lahat yan, she will grow up and mature in her own time.

  8. Naku muther ganyan din si Tala. But she'll use it as blackmail material. If there's something she wants that she doesn't get, she'll say "Sige ka, di ako papasok sa school!" Lokong bata! haha.
