Why I Was MIA + Anika's First Day at Nursery School

Heller!!!!!!!!

Yuh. I'm still alive guys.

Thank you so much to all those who emailed and checked on me if I'm still okay.

Nagpapamiss lang ako sa inyo.

Chos.

Joke lang.

I'm so sorry mga muthers for being MIA since Thursday night. I went through something major major the past three days. I wasn't able to eat ANYTHING from Thursday night to Saturday late afternoon. As in nothing ha? Only water. That was how depressed I was. Akala ko end of the world na. I wish I could tell you about it pero these are some of the things that I have to keep private. Ibalato niyo na ito sa akin. The important thing is that Alvin and I are trying to work things out. Ayan na ang clue. I would not have survived if not for Arnaiz, Pineda, Vivian and Bing. I dunno saan ako pupulutin if not for them.

Ang dami kong learnings last weekend. One, if you don't eat for a long period of time, you won't see black. White ang makikita niyo mga bakla. As in mamumuti ang paningin niyo. Two, true ang saying that if you're successful in your career (and in my case, in your blog too), there will be something that will suffer. Like all of you, tao lang din ako. I make mistakes. May mga pagkukulang din ako. In my quest to excel in everything that I do, I neglected one of the most important aspect in my life. It's just painful when everything blows up in your face.

Hindi pala talaga ako si Darna.

Pineg ko kasi siya eh.

The important thing in everything that has happened is that pwede pa din akong bumawi. I thank God that I am still given a chance to re-arrange everything and do what is right. I was ready to give up everything -- my career, my blog -- para lang makauwi early and matuto magluto. Hindi ko daw kailangan gawin iyon. It's a matter of managing everything.

That is what I'm praying for now.

Anyways, let's not dwell on that. It's going to be hard work but we will get this through.

For the meantime, lemme tell you about Anika's first day in her Nursery class.

We enrolled her in a traditional school. I want this school to prep her for CSA.

She didn't wear her school uniform because her size was out of stock.

Dress: Big and Small; Shoes: Saltwater Sandals; Lunchbox: Disney Princess at SM; Umbrella: Barbie from Rustan's

Being in a traditional school shocked Anika, I think. She attended kasi a progressive school for her toddler class. She's not used to being confined to a chair and being told what to do. I wanted Anika to attend a traditional school kasi I feel it's more bagay for her. I feel that a traditional way of teaching will instill discipline sa kanya. Masyado kasing gora-come-what-may yung bagets eh.

I dunno with you guys pero being inside Anika's nursery classroom agitated the hell out of me. I felt the familiar feeling of anxiety that I felt every time it was the first day of school when I was young. Sino teacher ko?! Will I ever have friends in my class?! Bakit ko classmate etong babaitang ito?! Will I top this class?! Sino kasabay ko sa recess?! May pogi ba dito?!

Joke.

Hehe.

Anika didn't want me to leave her side for the first few minutes. Eventually, she warmed up and participated in the activities.

ALVIN: Kailangan boy agad ang partner sa activity?!

Sauce.

We enjoyed watching her in class. She looked so grown up na talaga. Sumakit throat ko kakapigil umiyak. I was so sentimental. I was looking at the parents if they were about to cry too pero parang deadmadela lang sila so I didn't let the tears flow. Baka pagalitan pa ako nung sister.

After Anika's class, I went to the office to work. After work, I passed by our Adoration Chapel to pray. I prayed for so many things.

When I got home, I dressed our little girl up in her school uniform because I won't be able to see her off to school tomorrow. OMG. She's super adorable!

The bag beside her contains all her books. It's from the school. When I saw it, pinagdilatan ako ng mata ni Sombrero. Di ko kasi type eh.

NUN: You don't need to buy her a bag because meron na silang school bag.

ME: Sister, do they need to use that bag to school?

NUS: Yes. May problem ba?

ME (with bowed head): Wala po sister.

Katakot din ang mga madre ano? They look so strict!!!!

Osha guys, until here na muna. I have to rest. I look so haggard. My eyebags under my eyes look scary already because of what happened last weekend.

I'll make kwento more soon.

I promise.

  8. Fleur, obvious bang now lang ako nakapag-backread? Busy din ang lola mo. Anyway, whatever it is (yung problem), know that God's grace is sufficient!

Also pala, a few months back, I placed your blog on my blogroll so I won't miss a new post. Hello! Hindi siya nag-update for a couple of weeks. I kept checking your blog kasi sabi ko imposible naman na di ka mag-update (ikaw pa!), and after a while, may updates ka na pero stuck on the bridal shower post ang link sa blog roll. I deleted the link and started all over. Ayan, working na. Haha, kwento lang. Aliw kasi magbasa ng blog mo. ;)
