What's Inside The Ikea Store in Amsterdam

One shop that I will definitely visit when we go to SG this weekend is Ikea. I've been to the store of one of the Ikea re-sellers here in Manila and I really love it there. Ewan ko ba, ang daming stuff for the house that I like. Maybe kasi affordable siya. Or maybe because isa lang talaga akong atat sa shopaholic.

When we were in Amsterdam last year, I made it a point to visit a real Ikea store. Grabe mga bakla, I felt I was in Disneyland! Alvin had to remind me na dapat wag kami ma-over baggage because it will be very expensive. Dun lang ako naghunos-dili.

To show you, here's what's inside an Ikea store in the Netherlands.

Plastic pang-linis ng kung anik-anik.

Table napkin holders... I got addicted to buying table napkins in different designs! They got very useful whenever I have visitors over and during Anika's 3rd birthday celebration.

Cups galore.

Pillows galore.

Blankets galore.

Beddings galore.

Carpets galore.

ME: Babe, can we please buy the red, white and black carpet for the house? Pasok na pasok sa color scheme ng bahay eh.

ALVIN: Sige, pero iwan mo na lahat ng damit mo dito para madala natin yan pauwi.

ME (walking away): Sabi ko nga

Moving on...

I love these cute hooks! I wish I brought some for Anika's room.

Shelves and trays galore.

I dunno if I already told you this but I have a fetish with storage boxes. I can't have enough of them! As in nagpapalpitate ako pagmay nakikitang storage stuff. If you go to our house, I have a lot of storage containers. Iba-iba. Dun sa storage room namin, madami. Walang mga laman. They are all waiting to be used. So I have to remind myself this weekend: Not. To. Buy. Storage. Containers. Anymore.

I'm also addicted to picture frames. Di ko ba alam din. Maybe it's because of my narcissistic trait. My house is currently full of these. I like kasi when visitors come over, I want them to have something to look at. Naging giant photo album tuloy yung bahay ko.

They Antilop high chair naman, they sell it there very cheap lang. Tingnan niyo 11.95 euros only. That's roughly, Php 720 lang. The resellers here are selling it for Php 1,500 to Php 2,000+.

Eto, the small tables are only 4.99 euros. That's more or less Php 500 lang each. Alvin and I bought two of these at pinagkasya namin sa maleta namin. This serves as our center table at our living room. At least, it's not nakakahinayang because Anika paints and draws on it. Ang dumi dumi na niya now pero keri lang kasi mura lang naman siya compared if we buy an expensive table eh si bagets masyado pang mahilig magsulat kung saan saan.

If shipping wasn't expensive, I'd buy six pieces of these chairs.

One thing I like also at Ikea are their mock up set-ups. Yung tipong gusto mo na lang bilhin lahat ng nandun sa set na yun so that your house will look as pretty as that set up.

If I would have an office space or library at home, it will look like this. Kasama na ang color scheme except for the framed photo by the couch. Black and white boudoir photo ko ang ilalagay ko diyan.

PAK!

I was loving this table before my blogging desk came. Pero for me, wala nang gaganda pa sa blogging table ko ngayon =D

I wish I could take home this clock slash bookshelf.

At the children's section, nakakawindang din. So many non breakable feeding stuff for kids.

I wish I was able to take photos of all of their stuffed toys too. Papa sent Anika tons and tons of these toys thru a balikbayan box. Hehe.

That's it guys. I wonder ano naman ang tinda sa Ikea in SG. For sure, Wowa will enjoy it there =)

I'll post my shopping finds next!

  1. I also have a Lack Side Table, I think it was HK$59.9 about two years ago. Mga P300+ lang. Now it's around HK$79.9 na. Ok nga if you have kids. Disposable furniture siya. Hehe. But I love IKEA. It is also my happy place.
