Jonathan + Apple: Wedding Ceremony

Hello there! I'm Anika and I'm the guest blogger here at my Nanay's blog for this particular entry.

I will tell you all about the wedding of my Tita Apple and Tito Jonathan. It was my first time to attend a wedding. This is an extra special wedding because everybody who loved the couple helped out in planning and preparing for this wedding. How many times did I say wedding?! Haha!

What I said was true. There were so many people helping with the preparations. The friends of Lola Ellen (the MOB) were the ones responsible for the items brought to the church. The cousins of Tita Apple stayed up late to help LT with the last minute things. The family of Tito Jonathan were in charge of the accommodations and transportation. LT, Nangnang (Faye) and Nanay were with them from the start to help them with the suppliers. Nanay of course helped in coordinating the wedding on that day.

This was where they were married. The Carluega church in Tagaytay. It was so beautiful there.

Tatay took a photo of their misalette against the colored glasses.

I was there to supervise what Nanay was doing.

The flowers were from Holland, hand carried by friends. The same friends of their family were the ones who did the flower arrangement of the hand held bouquets.

I was busy running around the church premises wearing the outfit my Tita DC gifted me from Tarte Tatin. My shoes were bought for me by my Wowa from Payless Shoe Store.
No, I wasn't cold. Nanay and Yaya Girlie kept on checking me.

I wanted a stuffed toy too but Nanay said that they are for the flower girls.
I hope I get to be a flower girl too when I grow up! I want to carry stuffed toys din!

This is my Lola Ellen, the mother of the bride. The frou frou of her gown was made by LT.

Nanay was so busy lining everybody up for the procession.

This is Tita Apple who's gorgeous in her wedding gown. Her wedding gown was made in Divisoria and was closely supervised by LT. Nanay said that Tita Apple's gown is far more beautiful than her own wedding gown. That's LT in orange, fixing Tita Apple's gown.

LT's dress was made by her too. She's great with the sewing machine.
Do you know that LT was the one who made my two gowns that I wore during my first birthday?

This is the sister of the bride. Nice her head dress noh? LT and Nangnang made those for all the girls in the entourage. They are similar to the ones used in Nanay's wedding.

This is the brother of the bride. With him is Tita Chanelle. Nanay kept on gushing on Tita Chanelle because she was so tiny when she saw her the last time. Now she's all grown up and very, very pretty! She's really tall but she's only 14 years old. I hope I'll be like her when I'm 14 =)

Tatay is very proud of this top shot that he took. Feeling niya, he's like my Ninang Pineda =) Haha!

This is me with my Nanay. Nanay's dress was borrowed from LT. She was wearing thong sandals from Cole Vintage because she didn't want to run around in heels. My Nanay's smart!

This is Nanay with my Lolo Papa who arrived in Manila six hours before the wedding ceremony started. From the airport, he rushed to Tagaytay because he was one of the godparents at the wedding.

These two are my companions the whole day at the house. That is Jekjek (but i call her Jis) and Yaya Girlie (i call her Gi). It was their first time in Tagaytay.

Here I am with my Lolo Papa. I seldom see him because he lives in Amsterdam. He brought me a lot of clothes!!

This is a nice moment captured by Tatay. I think Tatay really has a potential in the wedding photography business.

Nanay said that a lot of guests at the wedding and some Taiwanese tourists visiting the Carluega church were taking a lot of photos of me that day. Maybe they liked my dress =)

There were a lot of kalat so I swept the floor using a paper handed to me by Yaya Girlie

Sweep!

Sweep some more!

When the priest announced that Tito Jonathan can kiss his bride, the people inside the small church hooted and cheered! Parang may basketball game lang! =)
This was my reaction when I saw them kissing!

Nanay was the one who called the people for the picture taking with the couple. Memorize na niya ang order. Nanay should continue coordinating weddings. But she said she has her hands full already because of me, Tatay, her work and this blog. Now, she only helps out the weddings of people she loves =)

This is the family of the bride. Nanay said that when she was in Amsterdam, they often go to their house for dinner because Lola Ellen cooks delicious meals!

This is Nanay with LT =)
I dunno if Nanay already told you but Lolo Papa's a photography fanatic. As in daw. He loves taking photos of everyone. Here are a series of photographs showing how passionate Lolo Papa is:

He waits until all photographers have taken their photos.

"Patiently" waiting.

He tries to get the attention of his subjects.

If all else fails, he will improvise. That's my Lolo Papa!
I had fun attending my first ever wedding ceremony. The reception post is on its way. I'll let Nanay tell you about it because it's time for my milk already.

Ciao everyone!

Love,

Anika Summer
