Silence

We took Girlie and Jekjek with us to Alabang Town Center one Sunday. While going around, we passed by the Snow Cone stand. Alvin was pushing Anika's stroller while holding my hand. The two were walking behind us. I heard them discussing something.

JEKJEK (pointing to the snow cone): Uy Girlie! Ang cute oh! Parang masarap.

GIRLIE: Mahal siguro yan.

I turned to them and said, "Mura lang yan. Ano gusto niyo bili ko kayo?"

SILENCE.Until we walked pass the Snow Cone stand.

ME: Paggusto niyo kasi magsalita kayo para mabili ko kayo.

JEKJEK: Ate, silence means yes.
