Rone's Brand Me Talk

Last Saturday was exciting. I was one of the mommy bloggers who were invited to the Self Branding Talk of Rone, the mommy behind the blog Mothering Earthlings and the online store Mothering Earthlings Shop.

I arrived early kasi as usual excited kasi ako. The talk was held inside one of the rooms of Co.Lab which is managed by Full Suite. According to their website, Co.Lab serves as a hub to a collaborative community that share the same values of entrepreneurship, creativity and integrity. This shared workspace is ideal for frelance professionals, home office workers, startup businesses, entrepreneurs, solopreneurs and graduate students.

Rone and I know each other because of our blogs. She comments on mine and I do to hers. Even during the time na hindi ko pa siya kilala, I already like her. She's feisty, someone who will not take any BS from anyone but it's clearly evident how she loves her earthlings. You should read her blog because you will super like how she deals with her two boys. A day in their lives is hilarious. Parang sitcom lang din like the Sombrero family.

Anyways, when I met her, I was stunned for a millisecond. 

Rone's GORGEOUS. As in. The first thing that I stammered after we hugged is "Teh! Ang ganda ganda mo naman!" Hahaha!

And then while waiting for the other participants to arrive, I lounged at the kids' area. Then this pretty lady toting an equally cute baby asked me, "Where's Anika?". OMG! I finally me Cai of Apples and Dumplings! All the while I thought her name was Apple! or Dumpling! =)

Cai's really, really nice! I am so glad I met her after reading each others blogs =) There's a face in my mind na when I read all her kwentos =) And her soon to be one year old baby girl is simply adorable! I really wished tuloy I brought Anika with me!

After a while, it was time for Rone's talk about Self Branding. This is important to those bloggers and mom entrepreneurs. It taught us the importance of how we could / should project or introduce our blogs or our products out there so that we can get our desired market. Rone did a great job on explaining how from blogging, she eventually had her online store. Nakakainspire =)

After the talk,we were treated with some pastries and cakes from Krazee Kitch Bakeshop.

I sampled these cookies and they were great! =)

I also tried this frozen blueberry cheesecake. I love it because the filling wasn't too sweet and the base tasted delish!

Chikka galore kami teh! We jived because baklush kami parehas. Haha! We even extended our meeting to lunch for more getting to know each other =)
