We went inside Zara. After going around, I went to the baby section. My ghad talaga! I so love their baby clothes!! If I win the lottery, I will spend it there! But since hindi pa ako nananalo ng lotto (kelangan muna siguro tumaya ako noh?), I only bought Anika a pair of leggings. Light gray ones. Uber cute.
I spent like 15 minutes more inside the baby store. Iniisa isa ko mga girl clothes nila while mentally computing if I can afford pa to buy them that day given our monthly budget. I saw these super duper cute Hello Kitty plimsoll sneakers:
priced at around Php 1,100
Ang dami pa dun! Kating kati na talaga ako bumili ng ibang gamit ni Anika!
ME: Babe, kaladkarin mo na nga ako palabas dito. Please.
And so he did. Quite forcefully mind you. With conviction pa.
Anyhows, here are my loots from that day:
Anika's leggings from Zara, a pair of wedge from Janylin, Booboo balm from VMV, the presentation top that I wore from Kashieca, and the Something Borrowed book =)
Honestly, I wasn't planning to buy shoes that day. There's a shoe sale this weekend. I'm going with Wowa. Possibly pretty shoes with no gastos. Yey! Anyways, take note of the cute prints of the shoe box and shopping bag of Janylin =)
I got this pair at only Php 999! Regular price is at Php 1,600 if I recall correctly.
Also, a lot of my mommy blogger friends were recommending Grandma Minnie's The Big, Brave, Boo-Boo Balm by VMV Hypoallergenics. They swear that it works wonders on them and their babies.
This costs a little over Php 1,000.
According to the website, Boo-Boo balm uses Monolaurin: a natural broad spectrum, clinically proven antibiotic, antifungal, antiviral, antiprotozoal - as effective as 70% isopropyl alcohol and topical antibiotics but instead of drying out skin (which alcohol can do), it softens, soothes and moisturizes.
It can treat infections that occur in skin damaged by eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis, herpes, wounds, cuts, grazes, insect bites, minor burns, etc.
How to use, again from their website:
Always apply Kid Gloves Monolaurin Hand Sanitizer to your hands before using. If wound needs cleaning, flush out with Oil’s Well Nurturing Do-It-Oil. With a small amount on your fingertip, apply The Big, Brave Boo-Boo Balm to the affected area three times each day or as often as needed. Your doctor may tell you to cover the area with a dressing after you have applied this ointment.

This is perfect for Anika because she has a lot of insect bites from god knows where! Hopefully wag naman sana, pero in case she scrapes her knees, I can use this on her too!
Sulit naman my weekend finds! =)
hello mommy fleur! i LOVE your blog! it gives me laughs every time =) about the vmv balm, i noticed that the main ingredients are just petrolatum (similar to petroleum jelly) and coconut oil. feeling ko you could get those at your local drugstore and mix them together for a much cheaper cost. you know, i just bought vmv's grandma minnie's oil too, which was touted to be safe for atopic dermatitis (my daughter has it). it didn't really work wonders on its own, it was more effective when i mixed it with cetaphil cream. super moisturizing. but i hated the price, ang mahal mahal! eto share ko sayo... i noticed the main ingredient of that oil is virgin coconut oil. so i bought generic cold-pressed vco from human nature and echo store, and to my surprise the result was just the same as vmv's, i swear!! even the vmv grandma minnie body wash, after using it i looked for a similar body wash sa human nature and after trying it mas ok pa siya sa daughter ko. if i had known earlier, i could have saved so much money. feeling ko kasi vmv also makes you pay for the soshal packaging and the ambiance of their stores. pero the performance of the products are so-so lang.
ReplyDelete@Anonymous: OMG talaga? Kaloka naman kung ganun kasi pricey yung VMV.. Pero thanks for the tip.. I'll observe.. Meron din kasi ako nabili na VCO from Giga. Di naman ganun ka-bilis mawala yung mga mosquito marks ni anika pagyun yung nilagay ko.. ill try boo-boo balm first and then let's see =)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much again! Take care!
I love the shoes!!! And the price of course :)
ReplyDeleteHaLu mommy fleur!! I super love your blog..laugh trip ever tlaga... Hehehe. The hello kitty shoes and the dress are soooo cute. Hope you could drop by my blog too.god bless and take care always-:)))
ReplyDeleteVMV's Booboo Balm and Indigo Baby's Jar of Hope are the BEST! I use them even on myself. Don't shop in Zara kids. Sobrang mahal! Not worth it. I'd rather give my money to the local shops.
ReplyDeletei also don't shop in zara kids or gap... super uber mahal nga! (i'll only shop when there's a sale) for my chikitings' clothes, WINNER ang greenhills tiangge, sm dept store (have you seen how cute their clothes are?! humahabol na sa designs ng gingersnaps, tarte tatin and all the sushal brands i swear!!), and landmark. i used to buy my kids expensive clothes but after seeing how they grow soooo fast (as in few months pa lang di na kasya yung damit), nakakahinayang to buy clothes and shoes that are so mahal and which will last them for only a short time. btw, were you able to go to the last crocs sale? maraming nice kids' shoes dun.
