When I was still a dalaga, my mommy friends sometimes bring their kids to our get togethers. English speaking ang mga bagets! Ohhh, they sound so cute! And since inggiterang frog nga ako, I said to myself that my kids would also be like them. English ang first spoken language because they would look and sound smart bata pa lang. My friends advised me to talk to my future kids only in English and make sure the yaya would speak only English to them.
So when I started work, I told girl Girlie, "Girlie, English lang lagi pagkinakausap mo si Anika ha? Para matrain."
GIRLIE: Ay sus! Magnosebleed ako niyan Ati.
Last weekend, I reminded her again.
ME: Girlie, English pagkinakausap si Anika ha?
GIRLIE: Opo Ati cge.
(to Anika) O Anika! MELK na o! MELK na you.
syet. I have a problem.
hahaha...fleur, natawa talaga kme ni raymond. kailangan ko pa talagang basahin ng malakas kay raymond para makarelate sya paghalakhak ko! =) try mo bumili ng music cd for anika na may lyrics na kasama para basahin ni girlie and mapractice din sya.
ReplyDeletegrabe, yan ang problema ko sa yaya from hell ko! buti na lang wala na sya. omg! "OK" lang ang alam na sabihin! sus! wala kaya kme sa pinas noh! grrrr... talaga.
Hanggang ngayon, we still do not know how these words got into my nephew's vocabulary when he was a toddler: MELK, BANYU

@Minnie: hehe.. sige sige bibili ako nun for girlie.. mahilig din kasi sa music si girlie kaya magugustuhan niya pagbinilhan ko siya ng cd.. mahirap din pagganyan yung yaya.. minsan wala din talagang perfect diba? kaya natatawa na lang ako pero super okay na si girlie kahit bisaya hahaha
