Anika: The Future Daddy's Girl

Anika whines a lot nowadays. Gustong gusto ng attention and if she's not getting it, she'll "cry", without tears. Ang arte. I dunno where she got that.

Anyways, I'm worried kasi she might get spoiled. So one weekend, when it was time for her morning nap, I placed her on the bed. Alvin was fixing his camera while I pretended to read. Anika whined and whined. She was particularly looking at Alvin and making "carry me" gestures.

ME: Babe, don't pick her up. Let's train her para hindi siya pakarga ng pakarga.

ALVIN: Sige.

Anika continued whining and crying without tears while reaching for her tatay.

Alvin looks at her.

I looked at Alvin. "Don't mind her.", I said.

Alvin looks at Anika again then looks at me then looks back at Anika.

ALVIN: Anika sorry.. Ako gusto ko kita kargahin kaso ayaw ng nanay mo. Don't get mad at me ha? Kay nanay ka magalit. Sumusunod lang ako.

Anika continues to make paawa to her Tatay.

Then I saw Alvin give in and carry Anika.

ME: Babe!!!

ALVIN: Kawawa naman eh. She might feel that we don't love her.

Then I swear I saw Anika frown at me then smiled up to her Tatay.

Haaayyy! Mukhang out of place ako dito ah .

ALVIN: Gawa na kasi tayo Babe ng baby boy para hindi ka na OP (out of place)

I pretended not to hear anything.

Kaloka.

  1. wait till she can talk! my little girl is a daddy's girl (certified!) na para akong bad mommy na bawal lahat. but i'll stick to it coz it'll be for her naman. consistency is my number one rule! example:
    julisha: my classmates says "belat"
me: tell them that your mom and dad doesn't allow you to do that okay...
    Julisha: NOOOOO....only mommy!
