To explain, Forever 21 kasi sells affordable clothes. You can find tops that cost 300 pesos, dresses that can go as low as 450 pesos and shoes for like 1,200 pesos. The best thing here is that the designs and quality of their merchandises are great. Correct me if I'm wrong but it's like Mango and Zara clothes, half priced.
Now do you understand already what the commotion is about?! =D
Anyways, the other week, I learned that Forever 21 will be on sale the next weekend, October 15, 16 and 17. I imagined the worst na talaga. Dudumugin ng tao yan. As in, girls screaming to get inside while elbowing each other and long lines that will rival that of the mega lotto's on it's grand draw.
But I HAD to go. I haven't shop for my selfish self since I got pregnant with Anika. I felt I deserve this. So I asked permission from my hubby and my allowable spending amount. He told me 3k. As in 3 thousand pesos (you know naman how hard to pay the household expenses nowadays, we do not earn THAT much [though I wish we did! hehe] ). I seriously deliberated kung sa 168 Mall in Divisoria na lang ako magpupunta. But my friends told me that 168 Mall will forever be there with its cheap clothes samantalang Forever 21 minsanan lang magsale. Okay convinced. I will brave the Forever 21 sale.
I was up at 7am last Saturday. I was prepared to bring it on! Laking Mango and Zara sale ata ito. Hubby dropped me and my friend in Megamall at around 9am. Luckily, one of my friends who was in the guestlist (those super duper lucky few who can get in the store at 9am instead of 10am) cannot make it so she gave her slot to me. I was ecstatic!!!!!!!!! I rushed inside Megamall's Building A to look for Forever 21. I passed by Payless Store. They have din pala a store here in Megamall. I thought they only have it in Filinvest Mall in Alabang.
We were so early that there were no lights yet outside the store. Only Forever 21 was lit. So it looked like "the light at the end of the tunnel" haha!
Since there were like only less than 10 customers shopping inside (time: 9am), we had time to take pictures. This is my friend Marianne.
And this is me! I'm still fat! But who cares?! I'm inside Forever 21 store already! =D
It looked so peaceful inside when we arrived. There were lots and lots of beautiful clothes that I didn't know where to start picking! I spent like 10 minutes roaming around the store first. When Marianne said, "huy nana, we need to start shopping already before the crowd arrives at 10am", natauhan ako bigla! Game! Shop! Shop! Shop!
I was by the door when the store officially opened for the day at 10am. Grabe! I saw girls rushing inside while screaming. Totoo pala yun. They had their game faces on!
After like 1 minute, the peaceful store looked like this.
The lines to the dressing room were looooonnnnggg! Good thing, we already fitted our chosen buys before they all arrived. By this time, we were doing the last minute picking na lang. I didn't want to fall in line to fit clothes so I pulled clothes on top of the clothes I was wearing and made tambay in front of one of their huge mirrors!!
We went to the cashier to pay for our clothes. Grabe daming tao!!!!! Parang pila sa Sharon-Gabby movie!!! Okay maybe parang pila sa Sharon-Gabby movie DATI. =)
Ate the cashier, punching in the clothes that I bought...
Then the total came... YIKES!!! as in double YIKES!!! I was way OVER my budget! I shouldn't have grabbed that cute bag while in the cashier's line. Or I shouldn't have picked up that cute dress on the way to the cashier line. Sheeesshhh... Can the wife's overspending be grounds for annulment?! I am afraid!!!! Have.To.Be.Extra.Sweet.To.Hubby.
In fairness ha, that is cheap for 12 items. Subtract the bag that I bought for 1,500. Php 5,200 for 11 pieces of clothes?! You can't get that in Mango or Zara!! Right?!
After paying, I look like this. Nakakatulala.
Oh well! But I tell you, the clothes I bought were fabulous AND CHEAP!!!! It deserves its own blog entry!!!
P.S.
I am definitely coming back! I saw na affordable ang clothes at Forever 21 even if they're not on sale!
