What To Get Alvin?!

It's nearing our first year anniversary as husband and wife. Time flies no? Parang kelan lang, we were so busy preparing for the wedding and now, magwa-one year na kami.

With relationships, I have always been an occasion person. I want to celebrate it and give gifts. I do not expect to receive any from the other end but I feel bad pagwala ako natanggap kahit Chocnut man lang. All my ex-boyfriends and friends know this about me.

I have kwento pa nga eh.

I had this boyfriend before and we celebrated our first monthsary. I got him a Marithe + Francois Girbaud leather pouch. When I gave it to him he asked me why. I said it's our first monthsary! The next day, I received a pair of Havaianas from him. I surely didn't expect anything from him because I knew he was not that kind of boyfriend. He was on the kuripot side kaya todo thank you talaga ako! The day after that he broke up with me. Kasi daw bakit daw kelangan maggift every month, ang mahal daw?! Ayaw niya na daw. I was like "Oh-key" (while scratching my head). Sayang gwapo pa naman. Ako nga hindi nagrereklamo during our dates when he orders just one two piece chicken meal and extra rice lang for both of us. We share it. Tig-isang chicken kami, tig-isang extra rice and share kami dun sa drink. Kaya "oh-key" lang talaga we broke up hehe.

Anyways, back to the topic. I am one of the lucky wives out there with generous husbands. The problem with mine is HE DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO BUY WOMEN GIFTS! I swear! Alvin is so clueless!! What we do ever since is he asks me what I like and he buys it for me. He will not mind the price. Pero you know, the element of surprise isn't there anymore. So for this anniversary, I said, bahala siya maghanap ng gift for me. It doesn't need to be expensive as long as tama siya that I like it. I want kasi to know how well he knows me eh =) Yeah, after 17 years of knowing each other, I still want to know haha! People evolve no? =)

So last night, when he picked me up at the office, he asked me how my day was. I ranted and ranted how stressed I am. And when I asked him the same question, wala raw siyang nagawa kaka-isip ano anniversary gift niya for me! To help him, while we were at the restaurant, I said that we both write down three items that we want. I wanted to put a budget sa gifts kasi hello hindi na kami dalaga at binata. We  have a household that we run. So we both wrote our wishlists at the same time. Alvin's list was:

1.) Camera Battery Grip
2.) Camera Flash
3.) The North Face High Vent Jacket

NANA: Babe! Sabi natin may budget eh wala namang bumaba ng 5k dyan sa list mo eh.

ALVIN: Wala na kasi ako maisip na gusto ko eh. La na magandang gift na worth 5k lang. Patingin nga ako ng list mo.

My list went like this:

1.) Gucci Bag
2.) Charriol Bracelet
3.) Name necklace

ALVIN: Sayo nga babe walang bumaba ng 20k eh!

FLEUR: Ay sorry. Ganun ba? *grins sheepishly* Ako talaga babe kahit ano promise. Love letter nga lang super okay na eh =D

So the night ended and the gift issue's still hanging. But now I know na what to buy my hubby!!! I'm sooo excited!!
