The Tooth Hurts
... oh yes.. my upper left embedded impacted wisdom tooth hurts like hell! I cannot even open my mouth big enough to put an entire spoon inside. (Not the entire spoon dummy! Just the part that you put inside so you can eat!)

I can still remember the pain so NOOOOOO.. I'll just make tiis. Period.

Haha, I had my removed a few weeks ago, wanna see my chipmunk pics;)
ReplyDeleteIs it really going to swell as much? I'm about to have my impacted third molar removed soon. My dentist suggested to have it extracted for its position was really awkward. He said I had to rest for a day or two after having the tooth extracted, but he never mentioned any swelling!!! I don't like! ;p
ReplyDeleteas a dentist, i will tell you to have it removed pa rin cus there are consequences for not having it removed... u can ask your dentist to give you a cocktail of two antibiotics. amoxicillin for the infection and clindamycin to control the swelling and keep it to a minimum...
ReplyDeletealso, the swelling is not always that bad... it usually depends on how long the operation went. actually the swelling kasi is the reaction of the skin to all the pulling and retracting happening during the procedure, so if mabilis lang and the dentist did not push and pull too much, then di ka naman bugbog ng masyado...
don't be afraid... i will tell my patients, the problem will keep on coming back and it will get worse... it could affect the tooth beside it, get infected, so you are better off without it --- :P

ReplyDelete@Rix: So far, I've done the procedure twice already and it swelled both times =c Feeling ko, it depends kung gano kagaling ang dentist. Let's ask Crickette, mukhang dentist siya eh! Thanks for dropping by nga pala! =)
@Crickette: Thanks so much for your comment! In my first surgery, 6 hours siya nagoperate. Etong second 4 hours so i guess talagang mamamaga siya.. I'll make ipon ng lakas ng loob first ulit! I really have to have it taken out talaga kasi it hurts e =c Thanks again and thanks for dropping by!
