Excited Much, Nanay?

Scenario One

Faye: Sis, I have a parent here sa preschool who's panicking because she needs to plan her daughter's birthday party for this weekend. Do you know of balloon suppliers, magician etc?

Me: Yea, here, i'll forward you the websites and their phone numbers.

I forwarded ata mga lagpas 5 websites and contact numbers.

Faye: Galing Ate! Thanks! Bakit madami kang alam sa ganito?

Me: Ay, mga suppliers ko yan for Anika's first birthday next year.

Faye: Ang aga pa!! Loka loka ka talaga Ate!

Scenario Two

I received an email from my friend Minnie last week. She attached a quotation package for a super cute idea for birthday giveaways. She said, "Fleur, alam kong this early, nagpreprepare ka na sa first birthday party ni Anika. Kasi ako dati, buntis pa lang, pinaplan ko na birthday party ni Andi eh"

Haha! She was so right!!

I was still pregnant with Anika, I was already canvassing suppliers for her Christening party and First Birthday party. Now since four months old na siya, todo todo na ang pagplan ko! Just last month, I reserved na the venue place. Mahirap na maunahan sa date na gusto ko noh! =)  For the suppliers, I'm canvassing na to the max. I keep on looking at children's parties pictures here sa net for ideas. I have to finalize this and present the proposal with costing to Alvin. You know naman my hubby diba? Basing on my experience sa wedding namin, he might faint and collapse when I show him my proposed costing. What I do to prepare him for this is I make him join in the preps. However, sino naman gaganahan if the conversation is like this:

ME: Babe, give suggestions for Anika's birthday party theme? You have to take part because you're the Tatay and you have a say in this also.

ALVIN: Talaga? Sige, how about ummm.. A mountaineering theme?

ME: Seryoso?!

ALVIN: Oo! Bakit hindi?! Lahat ng mga bata naka-mountaineering attire!

ME: Wag ka na nga. Sa logistics ka na lang in-charge.

ALVIN: Kita mo 'to... Nagtatanong ng suggestion pero ayaw naman tanggapin.

Che! I didn't mind him na lang. Mountaineering theme? Maybe he forgets that Anika is a girl and hindi cute ang mountaineering theme. Sheeesh!

So anyways, more or less, I have a theme na which is sooo cute I promise you. One detail I'd like lang to share so that the parents of our invited kids would have something to look forward to (depending if Alvin approves) is that Anika's party will have a Hansel & Gretel House!! Correct!!! As in a small house where kids can go in and out of it and is made up of candies and chocolates!!!! So exciting!!!

Osha, I might disclose na all the party details, you will not have anything to look forward to.
