Boo! Globe Mobile Internet

I know that I posted somewhere here that I love the Globe 5 peso per 15 minute charging of their mobile internet. Well, binabawi ko na ngayon!

I recently got my Globe bill and it was Php 8,000 ++ for just two freaking month!!!

My bestfriend Michelle Pineda-Pastoril told me last week that she thinks that when we use the Safari application in our Iphones, we get charged by Globe even if we closed it already. I said baka hindi naman because unfair naman yun for the users. Pero ayan! She was so right pala!!

When I learned about my huge bill, I posted in my YM and FB status how I hate Globe na. And then, my friend Divs messaged me and taught me how this would not happen again for Iphone users. Here I'll teach you too:

You go to Settings --> then General --> then Network --> the Cellular Data Network --> then check the APN. If it reads internet.globe.ph and the EDGE symbol is on the upper left corner of your phone, it means you are online. What you do is make the APN to internet.globe.phP. You will not be connected automatically if you do this. You just change it back to ph if you'll need to go online na.

I wish I knew about this when I bought my Iphone two months ago =c Charge to experience na lang the 8k! I hate it!

So how did I tell Alvin?
I was of course scared. Just the other day, we were doing our grocery and he was getting impatient because we were taking extra long time canvassing for the stuff we were buying. I said this is my way of making tipid. I told him pa nga that it's better to eat na lang fish than meat kasi fish is cheaper. Just put Maggi Savor and masarap na siya. Ayaw. Wag daw magtipid sa food. Tama naman.

But then this!! I was so dead!! Our conversation went like this:

ME: Babe, I'll tell you something but promise me you won't get mad.

ALVIN: What? --> in a high tone (knowing me, he knows gastos ito)

ME: My Globe's bill is 4k.

ALVIN: Ano?!

ME: Yeah for two months bale 8k na.

ALVIN: Ano?! Sinasabi ko na nga ba sayo yan eh!

ME: Sorry na talaga, I promise it won't happen again kasi Divs taught me how to change the settings na.

ALVIN became quiet which I totally hate. I feel guilty more.

I can't take the silence anymore. Sacrifices must be done so..

ME: Diba Babe, you were supposed to give me 10k shopping money next week? Di na lang ako shop. Ibayad ko na lang sa Globe.

Alvin looks at my pa-awa face.

ALVIN: Hindi na sige, gawin ko na lang yun 15k para may mabili ka pa din kahit papano.

ME: Ha? No na. It's okay. How will I learn if you keep doing that?

Alvin raises his eyebrows at me.

ALVIN: Sige, dagdag na lang ako ng 3k para may atleast 5k ka.

Hay, I'm such a lucky frog!! Ang bait bait ng asawa ko! =D

Pero that doesn't mean okay na kami ni Globe ha? If not only for this Iphone that they offered me and tied me up with them for two more years, I'll change network provider na talaga!
