Anika's Feeding Things

Anika turned four months old today and based on some of my mommy friends, Anika might start taking solid food by this month. Anika taking solid food depends on what her pedia would say on our visit to her clinic this week. Usually kasi, babies are given solid food when they're six month old na. However, some moms naman make their babies try solid food as early as four months. Infants kasi still have this reflex with their mouth which cause them to spit anything (well, except for milk) that enters their mouth. So they need to get used to it pa.

To make sure, I bought her na her eating things! Yes, I'm an excited momma (I'm planning na nga her first birthday party eh! April next year pa yun mga ateh! Haha!). Anyways, browsing the blogs of my N@W mommy friends, I had na an idea what nice feeding things to buy for Anika.

We bought her the Munchkin food processor. As much as possible, i don't like sana to feed Anika with processed food kaya this will help a lot. We can grind / mash boiled potates, bananas etc with this. Anika will be able to eat healthy things. It costs Php 795 only.

We bought her also the Munchkin feeding spoon. This is a soft tipped, BPA free batch of spoons cost Php 295 only. They also have feeding spoons that has heat indicator on its tips. It was great however, I didnt buy them anymore because I don't plan on feeding Anika naman hot food.

I didn't buy plates anymore because Anika's Ninong Abbey got this for her as a Christening gift =). I included this in the baby registry because based on my other momy friends opinion, Richel is a nice brand. Aside from the kyoot design, it's BPA free too. So super thank you Ninong Abbey! =)

Another cool thing about this is that it has this suction base under it. Kahit na magulo si Anika (which is common when you are feeding infants and toddlers), it will help not to spill the food that is placed in the dish.

Dear Anika,

Mommy bought na your feeding things and your Ninong Abbey got you a complete set also. We're ready na for your first solid food meal. We'll take pictures! Nanay's such a stage mom! =)

We love you!

  1. fleur, just to share you my experience when my daughter started to eat semi-solid foods and was still working. It's medyo hard to prepare if you opt to do it on your own and you work kasi masmaganda if you feed her yung freshly done. So i gave Julisha Earth's Best Organic. Check the website => http://www.earthsbest.com/node/19. They have different foods for different stages. It's available at Healthy Options. And for a cereal, i gave her Milupa since they said yung iba may preservatives daw and ito wala. (http://www.milupa.ca/en/our_products/step_1_-_starter_cereal/step1_starter_cereal.html) Julisha liked it naman and i didn't have a problem feeding her kahit now.
