Our Hospital Visit To Alfred

Alvin has a total of two friends. Not literally though. He's not like me kasi who easily befriends everybody. But when it comes to friendship, there are only two people he can trust his life with, his bestfriends Alfred and Abbey.

They've known each other since their high school days. They have also been through a lot. Getting ganged up and seriously beaten up back in front of our house when Alvin was still courting me 17 years ago. (Okay, not really beaten up (a few bruises here and there) but they were really in trouble that time).

Up until now, their bond is still the same as it were before (if not, stronger pa nga eh). They are very protective of each other and always have each others' backs.

Growing up with them, I still get amazed how three different people become closer more than any brothers could. Alfred's the "pasaway" one. He ALWAYS gets into trouble. Bar fights, gang fights, accidents, name it, he's been in it! Seriously. But being the youngest in his family, he is innately malambing. He makes an effort to make aya the other two to two bottles of beer every now and then. Abbey's the pinakamabait and quiet one among the three (pero that doesn't mean na hindi din siya magulo ha?!). Alvin's the prankster of the group. They talk to each other that irritates the hell out of me but I'm surprised bakit hindi sila nagkakapikunan.

Anyways, Alvin texted me that morning na Alfred was rushed to the hospital. Not to be mean but my first thought was, "hay salamat, nagkatotoo na din ang wish niya na ma-confine." It's true! For the longest time, Alfred wanted to be confined in a hospital. Para daw dalawin amin siya and bring him food.

So yeah, you guessed it, now na naconfine siya, kinareer niya ang pagiging hospital patient niya. When Alvin & Abbey picked me up sa office to go visit him, I told them that we buy something for Alfred. Abbey went like, "Ay oo, nagorder na si Negro (their pet name for Alfred). Mocha frap daw, lechon kawali and saging." Amp! May order?! Hahaha! So nakakaloka, so we bought him his starbucks order but ordered KFC dinner for them instead.

Before we arrived, he was making kwento that he went out of the room and walked to the nurses station (wearing that and pulling his dextrose stand with him) to ask where he can smoke. Loko loko talaga i swear! haha!

I actually forgot why Alfred was in the hospital. I think because he wasn't able to stand na anymore that morning because of his potassium deficiency. They're checking out na today so everything's all good and well with him =)
