The Sombreros in the Barney Show

I first learned about the Barney Space Adventure Show at Aliw Theater when Benz posted about it in her Facebook account. Ay grabe! Nagpalpitate ako! Anika. Loves. Barney. To. The. Freaking. Max!!!

Right then and there I booked three front row tickets for the Sunday 4pm show. 

Pikit mata. 

Ang mahal pala ng mga tickets na ganun mga 'te! But this will be Anika's first theater show and given na si Barney pa yun, hindi na ako nanghinayang. I just prayed that Anika won't get afraid of the real Barney like what happened to her and Jollibee nung birthday niya.

The night before, Alvin and I tried to look for a Barney shirt for her to wear for the show. Grabe. Wala sa SM! Akala ko pa naman, "we've got it all for you!" talaga sila. And take this, wala may alam sa mga pinagtanungan ko san ba nakakabili nun.

San nga ba muthers?!

Anyways, we arrived 30 minutes early yesterday. When Anika saw the poster, naging aligaga na agad! Super excited! Hmmm.. Partida, poster pa lang, ganyan na ang excitement ng bagets. Looks promising!

Anika was wearing a top from Gingernaps, jeggings for Wowa's secret store and Crocs.

Inside there was these booths that sell Barney shirts, toys and DVDS. Sadly, the smallest shirt that they have is too big for Anika.

Anika liked the lighting, whirling and vibrating Barney toy. I asked and they were selling it for Php 400. So expensive. Ang mura lang niyan sa Divi eh. But nooo.. We're not in Divi. We're in a shala theater watching and imported and shala Barney show.

ME: Anak, wag na. Saglit lang naman ang lifetime niyan sayo eh. Pusta, bukas sira na yan kaka-bato mo. Sayang lang.

ANIKA: NO! Mine toy!!

Hokay. At least may remembrance siya.

Sulit naman because she didn't let go of the toy until the start of the program.

We went to our seats after buying the toy. Anika got a tad bit impatient while waiting for the show to start. Wala sa mood magpictorial because it was her afternoon nap time already.

Also, she kept on shouting, "Barney!!! Baaaaaarney!!!" while the curtains were already closed. Natatawa yung mga parents beside us =)

After a while... BAM!!!

Barney went on stage!!! The kids screamed and cheered!!!

Ang Anika, may gasping effect pa with her hands on her mouth. She shouted, "Barney!!!". Kilig na kilig!! Ayan, biglang nagka-energy! She danced and did the action songs.

She didn't know what to do when Barney came over and stood right in front of her! I heard her whisper, "wow!". Nakakatuwa!

Ofcourse the gang was complete. Including RIF the smallest of the four dinosaurs. RIF pala ang pangalan nun. All the while, Anika calls him REF.

ME: Girlie! Rif pala ang pangalan nung maliit na dinosaur eh!

GIRLIE: Oo nga po. Ref! R-I-F. Ref! Di ba ini-spell ko pa yun sa inyo?

Sabi ko nga.

This is the king and queen of the purple land in the purple planet where Barney and friends visited =)

The show was not that long. It started at 4 pm and had a 20 minute break, 30 minutes into the show. It ended at around 530pm.

During the break, Anika got bored yet again. Go home na daw hehe. Good thing, Alvin was able to make her aliw until Barney and friends came out again =)

All in all, since it looked like Anika enjoyed herself, I give it an 8 out 10 rating. Pero malamang, if you ask Anika, 10 of 10 ang ibigay niyan =)

Outfit of the Day: Splash of Colors Monday

Sorry for the late posts everyone! I'm having a few technical difficulties here. However, mukha namang okay na =)

It's hard to pick clothes to wear nowadays. Wagas kasi ang init everyday! I wanna wear cotton light weight dresses all the time however, it's difficult because hindi naman nice na kita kilikili mo sa office lagi. Here's what I chose to wear today.

Outfit: Forever 21 dress, Charles and Keith sandals

I love the dress because it's airy and soft. Preskong presko! It also helps that the cut is nice therefore my fats are not sensationalized here. Well, okay, except in the arms area. Hahaha. The color's lively and the dress has pockets!! I'll buy more of these later!

And para hindi kita ang kilikili and to make it a little more presentable for the office atmosphere, I wore a lime green cardigan from The Black Shop.

I'm going to have a me time later. Last weekend was all about Anika that I wasn't able to have my mani-pedi and salon time. Actually, I asked Alvin if we can go out on a date tonight since it's a holiday naman tomorrow. Kaso birthday daw ng boss niya. Ok well, ako na lang mag-isa. (May konting bitterness involved)

ME: Ikaw Sombrero, hindi ka na sweet sa akin ha! Hindi na tayo nagde-date!

ALVIN: Sige na nga. San mo ba gusto pumunta?

ME: Di na! Dyan ka na lang! Magshoshopping na lang ako!

ALVIN: Sige okay yan Babe! Bili mo din ako ha!

Ayos. Mabilis pa sa alas kwatro ang sagot!

Sombrero Sitcom: Sari Saring Kwento

Ang Boat Shoes. Bow.

My husband is very galante to me and Anika. I wish I could say the same for himself. Hindi bumibili yan ng kahit ano para sa sarili niya.

ALVIN: Ano ba yan! Sira na sapatos ko!

ME: Malamang Babe. Tatlong taon mo nang sinusuot yan eh. Tara bili tayo ng shoes.

ALVIN: Wag na. Kaya pa ito.

ME: Babe, baka sabihin nila hinuhuthot ko pang shopping lahat ng pera mo. Tara bumili ka ng nice shoes for yourself.

We passed by a store.

ME: Eto Babe, boat shoes! Uso to ngayon!

ALVIN: Boat shoes?! Wala naman akong boat!

Funny.

But I convinced him to buy a pair of really nice Sperry shoes.

ME: Bakit kaya ang mahal niyan no? Hindi siguro nababasa... Or pwede ka maglakad sa water!!!

ALVIN: Oo, kahit sa tubig, may signal pa din.

wtf. Ano daw?!

ME: Ganda nung mga dresses ni Anika no? Sabi nung ale 60 pesos daw isa. Sabi ko tawad naman. Sabi nung tindera sige daw, tatlo for 180 pesos na lang. Tuwang tuwa naman ako. Akala ko nakatawad nga ako!

Yaya Praning Moments

Girlie will be leaving soon to go to their province and attend the Ms. Putlongcam. LT will be doing her gown. Sure win na ito. Lol! No... The pageant is a fund raising also for the construction of their church. The girl who has the most donations will win. 

Anyways, last night, Alvin asked Girlie.

ALVIN: Hanggang kelan ka ba sa Bohol?

GIRLIE: Depende kuya. Kung nagenjoy ako eh di mas matagal.

Muntikan na ma-sprain yung isang ugat ng mata ko because my eyeballs almost popped out of its sockets. Anong depende?!

ME: Hoy ateng. Magsabi ka hanggang kelan ka. Hindi pwede yung depende.

And that was the time I got scared. May possibility siguro ito na hindi na bumalik. Her boyfriend is also going with her back home. Lekat na yan. Baka magasawa na si Girlie!!!

Okay don't panic.

Ang hirap pa naman kumuha ng matinong yaya ngayon. Have you guys read Frances's story about her yaya?! Or Cai's story about hers?

Eto pa. For the past few days, Anika has been extra clingy to Girlie. Whenever Girlie gets out of her sight, she immediately calls for her. Hindi talaga nagpapa-awat until I bring her to Girlie. Even at night, she would wake up then ask for Girlie. I discovered it wasn't pala because Anika doesn't like to be with me. Sinasabihan pala ni Girlie si Anika na she's leaving for Bohol. Ayun nagkaka-trauma yung bata. Nakaka-awa.

Pinagsabihan ko tuloy si Girlie not to tell Anika that she's leaving. Nagkaka-separation anxiety si Anika eh. 

Alvin told me that Girlie will be back. I sincerely hope she does. I hope she doesn't elope na lang bigla. Or biglang magdecide na mas masarap pala sa Bohol.

Alam ko na. Kakausapin ko siya mamya. Sasabihin ko ako bahala sa kasal niya if ever they decide to get married.

Hehe. Suhulan na ito!

Anika's Second Birthday: The Party

Anika's second birthday party was fun. I didn't expect it to be fun because I seldom attend parties in Jollibee. Hindi kasi ako iniimbita lagi. Now that we have Anika, baka mapadalas ang Jollibee parties namin. Lol.

I would like to thank all those who took time and came and partied with us. Thank you to the host of Jollibee who thought of those fun games.
