I was up almost all night last night. Alvin and I were taking turns monitoring Anika's temperature. It never went down from 38.9 degrees. Nakakastress. Pero at least less stress in getting Anika's temp because Alvin bought this last night:
This digital infrared ear thermometer made the night very easy. Anika hates it when we take her temperature using the digital armpit thermometer. Nakikipaglaban ang bagets with mega crayola pa. Now with this ear thermometer, it's very easy to get her temperature. One second is all takes, may reading ka na agad. Eto pa, it stores the temperature readings so you don't have to memorize them when you want to monitor it.
From Zaldy, one of my doctor friends in Amsterdam: "Less accurate kasi yan ate pag babies pa talaga. Best pa rin rectally, but pag toddler na pede na yan :) "
Pak na pak then for Anika =)
We just bought it only now because nga Anika rarely gets sick. But yesterday, I told Alvin to buy na kasi Anika was extra whiny when we were getting her temperature. Ayun. Solb! The digital infrared ear thermometer can be bought at any Mercury Drug stores. The brand Thermo Buddy costs Php 2,851. Mahalia pero super sulit, promise.
This morning, we were supposed to bring Anika to the hospital to have her CBC taken na. However, my bilas, who's also a doctor, told me that I have to wait after 24 hours of fever before we can take the CBC. Normal pa daw kasi ang lalabas pagwithin 24 hours. We just have to watch out for the symptoms: stomach ache, vomiting, headache. So far wala naman.
I was supposed to go to work this afternoon. Kaso lang, Anika's fever suddenly went up again and was extra clingy. She also vomited. Kaya eto, bantay na naman ako. I'm seriously super afraid of Dengue. If her fever persists until tonight, Alvin and I will take her na to the hospital.
Eto kaming mag-ina kanina:

Good thing she's eating naman and drinking her vitamins and Tempra.
Alvin and I, as usual, fought na naman this morning. My husband panics every time Anika's sick. Yung tipong hindi na makatarungang panic. Are your husbands like that too?
I remember one of my close friends texted me one day. Nag-aayang mag-inom. When I looked at the time, tanghaling tapat 'teh! Malaki talaga problema nito, I thought. When I asked her what happened, she fought daw with her husband. I asked why. Nagalit daw ng bonggang bongga ang husband niya because he saw a mosquito bite on their one year old daughter. She felt that her husband was blaming her by the way he got angry. Imagine, a mosquito bite lang?!
That is so very Alvin!
I can understand fathers, you know. It seems like their world will fall apart whenever bad things happen to their babies, daughters in particular. Natural na ata sa kanila magover acting ng ganun. Kaso lang, we fight because whenever he's like that, he's making me feel na ang kamote kong ina. He doesn't do it deliberately, I know. But they say things that would make us mothers feel that way. Panic mode kasi eh. They seriously need to relax man! Panicking and being hot headed about the whole thing will not help the kids get well. I'd like to think that Alvin's like this because he doesn't know yet how to react because (1) he's a first time father and (2) Anika seldom gets sick. He doesn't have practice how to relax in times like these.
Good thing, we talk about it afterwards. And ang forever advice ni Rain, "wag mo kasing sabayan mare."
Fine.
Akala ko magbo-boxing na kami kanina eh.

Nice my gloves and wraps no? Ang arte.
Speaking of which, Toots will kill me with this kasi sabi niya wag na patulan. Last night, I received this super, mega funny comment from a TROLL. First, she was attacking my grammar in my blog. Talaga naman daw money can't buy brains. Why is she daw wasting her time with this conyotic of a blog anyway?
Super funny grabe.
I'm flattered. One, mukha pala akong may pera and two, conyotic daw blog ko!
Bwahahahaha! Thank you! Thank you!
Mga tao nga naman. I cannot understand why they keep on reading my blog kahit I "irritate" them. Ang pagkaka-alam ko ha, sinasadya ang pagpunta sa mga blogs. It is not something that suddenly pops up on your screen when you open your computers. You have to type M-O-M-M-Y-F-L-E-U-R-.-C-O-M for you to go here. In short, eeffort ka ng konti.
Bakit ka naman eeffort ng ganun para lang mainis ka?
At ako pa ang walang brains niyan ha?!
Peace =D
huwag kang mainis mommy fleur, yung mga ganyan inggit lang sa iyo...
ReplyDeletesmile!
Wag ng patulan. Pag pinakita mong naiinis ka dun sa nagcomment, panalo sya kasi naattain nya objective nya which is mainis ka. Kaya IGNORE.
