Outfit of the Day: Anika Kwento Monday

I was staring at Anika almost the whole weekend. I am amazed how fast time flies.

First, she has grown so big already. Parang kailan lang, all she did was to sleep and drink milk. It came to a point that her Nangnang Faye (while visiting her) exclaimed me, "Ate, tulog na naman si Anika?!".

Second, she's super hyper-active now. Dati, tuwang tuwa na kami basta gumalaw lang siya sa crib niya. Now, omigod talaga. She's totally everywhere! She's climbing everything. Running after anything that moves to a point that even Havi's afraid of her already.

Third, she talks a lot. When I say a lot, I mean bonggang bonggang A LOT talaga! There is never a minute that she's not talking.

ANIKA: Tatay, watadoin?!

ANIKA: Nanay, cry ako kanina. Huhuhu. Away ako Ate Girlie.

ANIKA: Nanay, watadoin?!

ANIKA: Nanay buy? Buy twoys? Ate Jessica has money. Give Anika money. Buy twoys?

ANIKA: Ate Girwie, watadoin?!

She squirms everytime I try to fix her hair.

ANIKA: Enough Nanay. Maganda na Anika. No more. Maganda na ako.

Kapal di ba?! =) Mana talaga sa akin. Lol!

Last weekend, we were running late already. She didn't want me to fix her hair. I was getting pikon already.

ANIKA: Tataaaay!!! Tatay help!!! Nanay don't touch my hair! Tatay only.

Ayan.

She was really throwing a fit before this photo was taken. Tingnan niyo sa picture, naka-smile na! Super manipulative sobra! Oh and pansinin din natin ang look of concentration on her Tatay's face. Priceless! =)

Later that day, she was making us kulit to go swimming THE ENTIRE RIDE TO SOFITEL!

ANIKA: Nanay, swimming? Swimming Anika? (repeat ten thousand times)

While we were having lunch, we noticed that it was getting dark outside and started raining.

ME: Anika sorry. You can't go swimming. It's raining.

Then she did like this:

She was like that the whole time! We were trying to pull her hand away from her face pero ayaw niya. She only removed it when we told her that she MIGHT be able to swim later on.

Then while making tambay by the Sofitel's pool, I was trying to have a decent family photo taken. Mga ten minutes na, ayaw magcooperate ni Anika. She was looking away. On some photos she was shielding her face. Sa iba naman she was covering our faces. Dun sa isang photo, she stuck her finger inside her nose!

ME: Anika, just give me one good smile then I will let you go swimming!

Biglang gumanito:

O di ba?! Biglang dumali siyang kausap!

Anika's becoming really makulit. Kina-kareer niya talaga ang terrible two's. It may sound that I'm complaining but seriously (believe it or not) I'm not. I'm trying to enjoy her at this stage. There are a lot of parents out there who tell us that they wish they enjoyed the moments while their kids where toddlers. Biglang laki kasi ang mga yan eh. Before you know it, may sarili na silang mundo and then you'll suddenly realize, hindi mo pala sila na-enjoy.

So kahit na Alvin and I are both tired running after her, tired from answering her endless questions, tired of pacifying her tantrums, okay lang. This is just a stage na ganito sila. I don't want time to come na sabihin ko na hindi ko ito nanamnam at na-enjoy. Dinadama-dama ko talaga siya ngayon =)

As usual, the bagets wanted to be in my outfit of the day photo.

As in ayaw niya umalis sa frame. Sama daw siya pa phowtows.

Happy Monday guys!

Don't forget to smile! =)

  5. Fleur, I have a question for you. You mentioned here in your blog before that you bring Anika to church every Sunday. How you do you make her listen to the mass for the whole one hour? My daughter is almost 20 months old and we bring her to church. Kaso ang ingay at ang likot ng anak ko. If we keep her still, she'll shout "Mommy!" or "Ayaw!" Nakakahiya tuloy sa ibang tao. Sometimes naiisip ko if we should bring her to church na lang if she's a lot older but sometimes I also think na we really should bring her to church this early para masanay na rin sya.
