You should have seen the look on my face when I received a lunch invite in my email from Amanda Griffin-Jacob. My mouth opened in surprise. Closed in denial (baka joke lang). Then turned into a big smile upon realization. I got so excited!!! To those of you who have been living under a rock for the past 10 years, eto lang naman siya:

Isn't she gorgeous?
Amanda is the fresh faced beauty who endorsed Palmolive Soap, Pepsi, Carefree, Bench and HSBC. She also modeled and then hosted in Channel V and F in Studio 23. She also maintains her website: www.glamomamas.com.
She took a self imposed sabbatical from the spotlight to focus on her most important and accomplished work to date: her family. In the past few years, Amanda has been based in Hong Kong with her husband, David Jacob and their adorable 2 year old bab boy, Kieran.
She is now in Manila because she is producing her own TV show: Amanda Loving Life.

Back to the email, of course I confirmed right away! I was so excited that I encircled the date in my calendar and counted the days until last Saturday. Faney lang talaga ang peg ng lola niyo =)
We met at Aria Restaurant together with the other fabulous mommy bloggers for lunch.

I was the first one there, as usual! Amanda arrived a few minutes after me and talaga namang star-struck ang mudra niyo. She was so pretty!

She's pregnant now with their second baby. She's due in October. Aside from being gorgeous, she was very nice and accommodating. Her eyes glows when she speaks and she was always smiling. It was all very natural. She's pretty much excited for her new show.

She told us that her TV show, Amanda Loving Life, is a first of its kind on Philippine television. It's a high-end locally produced lifestyle show purely dedicated to today's young urban mothers.
This show shares my views as a woman, wife, mother and a career-oriented person. This show speaks to the growing need for today's mother to be informed and aware that she can DO it all and HAVE it all too!
The show features topics such as how to be a healthy woman, education for your kids, shopping (my favorite!), tips on relationships and almost anything and everything about a woman as a whole. It's like having a friend in Amanda who shares with you fabulous finds, nice vacation places and well-being tips.
Personally, I like the Amanda Loving Life show because it's kikay. It deviates from the common mommy shows in the sense that (for me ha), it's more fabulous and colorful. It encourages mommies to have a more balanced life as a busy mommy, a career woman and a modern urban dweller.
Being a mommy is not an excuse for not looking pretty, not having pampering sessions, not being healthy and not having fun! We can do it albeit the nappy changing, toddler chasing, menu planning etc! Repeat after me: We. Can. Do. It!
The Amanda Loving Life show will teach us that!
Teka, pause muna. Nadistract ako sa bonggang watch ni Cai of Apples and Dumplings! Nice ano?

Anyways, also for me, Amanda is the perfect person to host this kind of show. She's fabulous and a very dedicate family woman. She's fit, active, beautiful, business minded and she adores her son so much. Her face even lights up whenever we talk about him!

I am definitely going to make subaybay her show! It airs every Sundays at 7:30pm.
And just like our host, the food at Aria Restaurant was fabulous too!
Thank you so much Amanda for having us =)
