Outfit of the Day: Storytelling Thursday

Yesterday, I went with Anika to her school because their directress asked me if I could read to the toddler class a story or two.

However, when she woke up that morning, may dramang ganitetch!

ME: Good morning Anika! We're going to school today!

ANIKA: No school! Waaah! No school please!!

ME: Ha? Why baby? What's wrong?

ANIKA: No school!! Please!! Big man! Big man!

Big man?!

The other day kasi, the dad of one of her classmates accompanied his son to school. He's just here in Manila for a couple of days lang. American soldier kasi si father. He was big and tall. Imagine a real life G.I. Joe. Ganun.

Anika was terrified of him! As in nagwawala ang lola niyo! The teacher had no choice but to let Anika stay at the Nursery class for the day. Girlie said that Anika enjoyed her stay naman daw there so I didn't mind.

ME: Girlie, gaano ba ka-laki etong lalaking eto?!

GIRLIE: Konti na lang te, sasayad na ulo niya sa kisame.

Ah. Kaya naman pala.

I consoled Anika. I told her that Nanay will be going with her and I will be reading books to them. Sa awa ng Diyos, she was pacified.

Naku ha. Maiimbyerna ang beauty ko if only because of that, my daughter will have phobia going to school. Hmmm. Bakit kasi the school's allowing parents and yayas pa inside the classroom at this time? Do the preschools where your kids are attending allow yayas and parents inside until now? No? I'll ask nga Teacher Claude.

Anyways, we did an outfit photoshoot first before riding the car to school.

You can buy the Style Hub necklace here and the Ambishoes flats here =)

I read the Octopus story and the Frog story to them. As usual, best in participation ang Anika. Yung tipong hindi naman tinatanong pero sagot ng sagot. Lol.

One thing also na ikina-taba ng puso ko was when Teacher Claude was introducing me to them, Anika was clapping her hands proudly while beaming from ear to ear. Then after I read each story, she would clap AND CHEER loudly again with matching, "Bravo Nanay!!!". Omigod! I wish I videoed that. Stage daughter na stage daughter ang Anika! She was so cute!!!

I blurred the kids' faces because I have not asked permission from their parents if I can debut them sa madlang people hehe.

That morning was very rewarding for me. Good thing I decided to come. Anika's big smile was worth everything =)

  4. Hi Fleur, in my son's preschool they don't allow the parents and the yayas beyond the glass door even on the 1st day. They have this glass door kasi before the lobby where the different rooms for Junior Nursery/Senior Nursery are. Khit mega-cry pa the kids, they have teacher assistants to help pacify them.
