I've always been wary of buying things online. You can't fit it. You can't see the actual product. It's a risk talaga.
Eh makulit ako. Online shopping is very convenient for me kasi. Ako ang taong who wishes there are more than 24 hours a day sa sobrang daming gusto and kailangan gawin. I have almost no time to go to the mall and roam around looking for nice clothes and things to buy. This is the reason why even though I'm wary of it, I still shop online.
Before this incident happened, I have never encountered any problems with online shopping. I've shopped for shoes at Shoe Etiquette. Okay naman. I've shopped in other online stores, okay din. I shopped for Anika's stuff online, okay na okay din.
My lucky streak ended last week.
I was browsing one of the local fashion blogs that I read. I saw this really nice robe. Ganda ng color. Makulay! Magulo! Ako na ako. And so I took note where the fashion blogger got it and ordered online. I was so excited!
I waited and waited and waited. Teh, namuti na mata ko hindi pa din dumadating my order. I texted the shop owners about it. I-follow up daw nila. Ang tagal pa din. Until ako na ang nagfollow up sa LBC, lekat na yan. It turned out the sender didn't put my street name kaya hindi na-sesend.
ANOBAYAN.
In fernez dun sa seller, she went to LBC immediately to rectify the problem. I got the package days after. I was still excited. Yun lang, my excitement instantly ended there. I opened the package and checked the robe.
Grabe teh, the workmanship was so poor! Magaling pa ako manahi sa gumawa nito eh! Take note, if not for LT, I would have failed Home Economics back in High School. I cannot sew or stich or cochet anything to save my life. Pero looking at my new robe, I swear, I can do a better job than this!
Look at it.
Button holes ba yan?!
Ano ito?! This goes around the whole edge of the robe. Hindi man lang kinut or something.
Hindi ko alam paano balak tahiin ito nung mananahi.
This robe costs 800 pesos. The seller told me that they reimbursed half of the cost kasi late dumating yung item. I dunno if they have deposited it already. I don't care. Mahal pa din ito kahit na 400 pesos lang ang pinaguusapan natin.
Out of my frustration, I texted them. Sabi ko bakit naman ganito. The first response that they sent was hindi daw nila responsibility ang handling items ng LBC. I was like, not unless gumagamit ng sewing machine si LBC sa pagshiship, I don't think they should be blamed for this. The next response that they sent to me was a more responsible one though pinipilit pa din nila na they checked the robe before they sent it. Bago din daw kasi mananahi nila.
I'm sorry, but this robe was definitely NOT CHECKED before it was sent out to me. Bulag na ang hindi makakakita ng flaws nito. Major flaws ang mga itetch. Hindi maliliit lang.
They offered to take back the robe and reimburse. I said no. I like the tela kasi. I'l just have LT fix it. They offered a lot of things pa kaso I don't have gana na anymore.
People were asking me in Twitter from what shop daw I bought this. I didn't disclose it because it's not my goal. Hindi ko goal ang manira. Ang akin lang, quality control naman before sending out your mga paninda. Mahal eh. Bago lang daw sila sa business. All the more! Paano kayo tatagal niyan if you don't give special attention to the quality of your products?!
Nakakaloka.
Nakakasad.
Nakakatrauma.
This makes me think, dapat pa ba ako magtiwala sa mga bagong online stores diyan? Or should I stick to the trusted lang talaga.
Nakakapagpabagabag.
Don't you think you have to reveal yung seller para di na makabili sa kanila ang ibang tao?
ReplyDeleteAww it was definitely poorly made. Tsk.
ReplyDeleteYou should put the name of the seller so that everyone will be warned of their unscrupulous act!!
ReplyDeleteme I HAVE NEVER SHOPPED ONLINE, takot ako but then again I believe that there are RESPONSIBLE shops online yun nga lang mommy fleur, careful na lang. I guess dun na lang sa trusted online shops... or better yet, bring Wowa sa mall. hehehe! joke lang po... :)
ReplyDeleteI won't tell na the store's name. I am giving them the benefit of the doubt na isolated case lang ako. At least now they know and they'll be aware na to check the quality of the product before shipping. And besides, the sellers are really young, mga below 17 years old. Baka if I tell you guys who they are, they might get discouraged. Sayang naman, naghahanapbuhay. Divah?!
ReplyDeletePak! =)
Napangiwi ako when I saw the buttonhole.
ReplyDeleteHi Mommy fleur, it's best to stick to the stores that you know. But then again, everybody has to start from 0 diba ? So even the popular stores were "newbies" once.
ReplyDeleteit's sad that you're disappointed w/ your purchase but I'm glad that you decided to give them the benefit of the doubt - after all, they did offer to reimburse you so giving you low-quality products was probably not intentional.
Sabi mo the sellers are young, baka product ito ng mga universities na merong entrepreneurship courses, I know DLSU and ADMU have those. :)
