Fifty Shades of Grey by E.L. James

I was reading my Twitter feeds one day when I noticed that a lot of people were talking about the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy.

Dahil chismosa ako, I asked around. I was told that the Fifty Shades of Grey book has topped the best selling list in the US, UK and around the world. It is famous for it's explicitly erotic scenes. Mommy porn daw ito kung tawagin. This was inspired by the Twilight series.

Eh di natural na-curious talaga ako ng bongga.

Thankfully, one of my readers sent me an ebook. Ay grabe, when I started reading, I couldn't put it down. I finished the three books in three days. San ka pa?!

Here's the plot from Wikipedia:

The plot traces the relationship between recent college graduate, Anastasia Steele, and manipulative billionaire, Christian Grey. Steele is required by Grey to sign a contract allowing him complete control over her life as well as a non-disclosure agreement, something that he's required from all of his previous submissives. Upon learning that she is a virgin, Grey agrees to have sex with her in order to prepare her for later encounters, fully intending that the contract would be signed. As she gets to know him, she learns that his sexual tastes involve bondage, domination, and sadism, and that childhood abuse left him a deeply damaged individual. In order to be his partner, she agrees to experiment with BDSM, but struggles to reconcile who she is (a virgin who has never previously had a boyfriend) with whom Christian wants her to be, his submissive and a to-do-with-as-he-pleases partner in his "Red Room of Pain".

Christian Grey is a 27 year old billionaire sex god. Super duper gwapo. Yun lang, he doesn't enter into normal relationships. DOM-Sub lang ang relationship niya all the time. This was brought about by what happened in his past. They only break up and separate when his subs want more out of the relationship, meaning when they fall in love with him na.  

Anastasia Steele naman is a young and beautiful (although hindi niya alam) virgin. Obvious naman, she will be the one who will be able to change the Christian Grey. And Christian will do change for her because eventually, he will fall in love with her.

At first, I was shocked because BDSM was unknown to me that time. Kaso the book was well written. Yung supposedly bastos, hindi nagiging bastos when you read it (for me ha, ewan ko sa inyo). It becomes a love story na kikiligin ka talaga with Christian. Unlike in Twilight where walang kwenta sa Bella, in 50 Shades, Anastasia is independent and fights back kay Christian. Though siyempre dahil super duper gwapo nga and sex god nga the guy, she automatically melts in his arms.

It's a good book. Madaming madaming sex scenes nga lang. But while reading it, there were scenes and conversations that made me laugh out loud especially their email and Blackberry message exchanges. There were also scenes that made me teary eyed. And there were a lot of scenes that made me hot! Hahaha! Kidding aside, nakakakilig talaga. There's mystery involved also in the story. May suspense. Ang ganda nga. Maluha-luha na ako sa sakit ng mata ko because I was reading it from my laptop until the wee hours of the night. 

Although, I will repeat, there are a lot of erotic scenes in this book. Minsan nakaka-umay na. The story's plot may be bordering unrealistic. But if you just want to read something to enjoy, mababaw man ito, then I recommend this book to you =)

Anyways, there are talks that they will make this book into a movie. Ang sa akin lang, I dunno how they will make tit into a movie without it turning into hardcore porn. Konting kibot sex eh. Hindi ko na nga mabilang how many times they have sex in a day. If they make this into a movie and make it watchable, ang daming cuts required. Not to mention, the sex scenes should be done in a tasteful way, otherwise, yung nga, bastos yung kakalabasan. I guess we'll all just have to wait and see.

Now, I have my bets who could play the handsome 27 year old billionaire sex god Christian Grey. 

The first one is Chris Hemsworth. As in siya na talaga ang bet ko.

My second bet and the more popular choice out there is Ian Somerhalder. If Chris Hemsworth is not playing the role, I could take Ian. Pwede na.
