I'm Your Hanny!

I am so excited because one of my best friends started her blog already!!!!

(Hannah: Matagal na noh!!)

I'm so sorry! I am so out of touch in Facebook that I failed to see the blog prompts of my friends =) haha!

Anyways, more on my bespren. Hannah's been my friend ever since uso pa ang bright colored purontong, tucked in a big shirt and top siders. (Whew! That's really a long, long time ago!) We were school mates in CSA and live in the same village. I can say that Hannah and I have been through a lot. Good times and bad. Kaya today, I feel bad. I know she's going through tough times now and she lives far, far away and I can't be with her to cheer her up. But basing on her blog and her Facebook status, she's doing really well. Ganyan naman talaga si Hannah eh. She's really a strong person. She has her prayers and faith. She's classy to a point na sabi ko gegerahin ko yung kaaway niya, but she doesn't like. Dehado na nga siya but revenge never entered her mind. (Unlike me na ang motto sa buhay ay "Lintik lang ang walang ganti")

Hay! May mga kamoteng lalaki talaga sa mundo and they definitely do not deserve my bestfriend.

Back to her blog, you'll enjoy reading it kasi bakla din magsalita ang lola niyo. She's a very good story teller and you'd be really, really aliw! =)

You can read her entries at I'm Your Hanny.

Enjoy! =)

P.S.
Han, pahiram naman ng Hermes bag mo ateh! Ang chuchal!! =D

Dwell Studio Baby Bags

When Anika was 6 months old --in my tummy, I bought her a weekend diaper bag from Baby Couture. Kaso, wala pang 2 months old si Anika, the strap broke. I dunno if it's still repairable but I'm so bad trip, I don't want to use it anymore. Hindot. Ang mahal mahal tapos sira naman agad! Kainis.

I am now in dire need of a new diaper bag. Ayaw ko na ng Baby Couture. I got turned off. You know naman me, pagna-bwiset, tabla ka for life. And yes, we are only talking of bags here. Baka may makamisinterpret na naman dyan, mahirap na.

Choz!

Anyways, when I was browsing one of my favorite mommy blogs, Jenni Epperson's blog, I saw this uber cute diaper bags from Dwell Studio.

I Feel At Home At Mary Grace Cafe!

I've always liked dining at Mary Grace Cafe. They have the coolest restaurant interiors and homey ambiance. However, their cafe in Serendra is a bit too small. I am super happy they opened a giant two floored restaurant in Greenbelt 2. Me and my family ate there last weekend.

The view from where we were sitting at the second floor.

No space was nasayang inside the restaurant. Everywhere you look, there are kyoot figurines or details.

This is the view of the second floor from our table and comfy sofa seats.

The corner where they put the menu and the condiments.

The mirrored walls

They have a Post A Mary Grace Moment corner. Their customers can put their photos there!

I love the personalized letters written by the diners to the owners.

They even have a kids' corner which Anika loved!!

Restaurant interiors pa lang yan, bentang benta na! Now on to their food.

We ordered:

Tiramisu Cake, Php 105
I found it delicious and I don't even like Tiramisu cakes!

Homemade Iced Teas: (L to R) Wild Raspberry, Php 75 and Sangria, Php 75.
It was so refreshing!!

Mushroom Pate, Php 162.
I love this started because I love mushrooms! The bread was just right unlike in the other restaurants where they serve hard and crunchy bread / biscuits.

Mary Grace Mushroom Cream, Php 262.
Ohhhh.. I love this food! Not only because it has mushrooms but because it wasn't nakakaumay and there was a hint of truffles in it. Yummy!!!

Mama had this: Spanish Sardines and Olives Pasta, Php 212.

What's a trip to Mary Grace if you won't eat their Grilled Ensaymadas, Php 73.
I can eat a box of these!!!!!
Hay! I feel hungry now!!

Mary Grace Cafe is the place to be if you want to stay in a very relaxing place and eat great food!

You can check out the Mary Grace Cafe at the ground floor of Greenbelt 2, Makati City.

Meeting Fashion Pulis

Are you guys reading Fashion Pulis too?

Well, me and my friends are!!!

Fashion Pulis is our daily showbiz meal. The blind items there are tastefully written (unlike those in tabloids, ugh!). We don't necessary believe them but it's just fun to read and guess.

Anyways, last month, Fashion Pulis had a blog contest. The readers needed to guess the countries he was visiting in Europe. He gave us shapes of the countries for clues. Ay kamo! Kinareer namin ni Rain!!! We researched like it was our finals project! We got all countries right and emailed them to Fashion Pulis.

Enter Michelle, one of my friends too. She being an avid fan of Fashion Pulis, wanted to join the contest din daw. Baka sakali lang kasi swerte daw siya sa mga ganyan. So we "helped" her with the answers and she emailed them to FP too.

Eto na, imagine my surprise when Fashion Pulis announced the winners! Mitch was one of the three winners of the Kanebo Impress Granmula! Ang swerte nga! ANG DAYA!!!!!!!!! Rain and I wanted to strangle her because we were so jealous!!! Hahaha! But wait, that would mean Mitch would be meeting Fashion Pulis and we can all come and meet him too!!! Bongga!!

They decided to meet on a Wednesday in Greenbelt. That day, I was one of the presenters for my department. The presentation dragged past the time it was supposed to be finished. Hindi tuloy ako nakasama dun sa dalawa! NAKAKAINIS!! grrrrr!

Nakakainggit. They told me the next day that Fashion Pulis was so bongga! They were star struck! He was very friendly and down to earth even if he was so makinis, articulate and was carrying an Hermes bag. O divah?!

Hay! Anyways, the other day, FP posted na their photos in his blog.

Tuwang tuwa ang dalawa! =)

Till the next contest ulit! For the meantime, if you want to check out the Fashion Pulis blog, click HERE.

See yah!!!

My Kind of Bread and Dip

One of my favorite restaurants is Italianni's. It's a bit pricey but I love eating there.

One of the things I like there is that while waiting for your orders to arrive, you will be served complimentary warm bread. The waiters will assist you in making the dip. The dip is olive oil with black vinegar. Ohemgee... Super sarap nun. Yan pa lang busog na ako!

Anyways, what me and my bestfriend Peachy do when we dine here is to order a regular sized Sicilian Chicken Salad:

The Sicilian Chicken Salad. Chicken breast, crispy romaine, mangoes, red grapes and pine nuts tossed in a creamy lemon mustard dressing (Lunch, Php 425 ; Regular Php 650)
And we eat it with the complimentary bread that they have! The combination is so good! The regular sized Sicilian Chicken Salad is good for 2 persons kaya sulit talaga. We're busog na and when we look at the bill, wala pang Php 500 each ang ambag. Okay diba?

Last weekend, I decided to make my own Italianni's bread and dip. It's so easy!

First, you need a bread of your choice:

For me it's Focaccia bread. We bought this in a store beside Max Brenner Restaurant. The owner prohibited me to take photos of their products (i-blog ko sana). Ayaw niya ata ng free advertisement so di ko siya i-advertise.
Instead, you can buy na lang your bread from Bizu. The bread there is so delish!!
You cut or break the bread according to the size you like. Set aside.

Second, you need  Balsamic Vinegar

available in S&R
and Olive Oil

You pour the olive oil first and then pour the balsamic vinegar over it. Careful with the amount of vinegar because it can be really sour if you put too much.

Viola!! Finish na your dip! Haha! It's that simple! Although, like we see in Italianni's they have herb and spices in their olive oil. You can do that too!

Basta ako..

I'm loving my improvised bread and dip!! So yummy!!

You mommies should try it too!!!

Outfit of the Day: Rushing Tuesday

Anika Meets Toys R' Us The First Time

We've never brought Anika inside a toy store. I dunno why. Yesterday, we were waiting for my mom and brother in Greenbelt. We passed by Toys R' Us at the 3rd floor and Anika saw all the toys. Akala mo matutumba sa stroller niya for bending so much forward. Gusto pumasok! And so we brought her inside and I saw her eyes grow big. Hindi mo malaman kung san titingin ang lola mo! She forced her way out of her stroller. Eto ang nangyari:

Tuwang tuwa! She was running everywhere!

She kept on pulling the stuff toys out of their shelves and hugging them.

See the picture? Blurred siya because she was moving all around.

Her Tatay and I spent most of the time there putting things back to where they were pulled from. But it's okay. Priceless ang enjoyment ni Anika.

More pulling...

..and pulling... See hubby behind her? Hehe!

She was talking gurgling to the stuff toys all that time.

Finally, nagpause din!
Anika's outfit: Shirt from Gingersnaps, legging from Baby Guess, Tutu from Erin et Vivien , shoes from Payless

Oh! I have a Girlie kwento pala!

I was almost finished dressing Anika up. I had to get dressed too so Girlie went inside our room to mind Anika.

ME: Girlie, paki suot yung TUTU ni Anika sa kanya.

GIRLIE: Ano pong TUTU?

ME: Ayan. Yung nasa harap mo na makulay.

GIRLIE: Ahh! TUTU pala ito.

and then to Anika, she said, "Alika na Anika, suot na ng TUTU mo. Asan kaya ang ONE ONE mo?!"

Hehe!

My outfit of the day:

Floral top from Juana, F21 denim shorts, F21 white wedge.

How about you guys? How did your weekend go?
