We are contemplating to get a high chair for Anika already. Yes, wala pa kaming high chair niya sa bahay. We felt kasi na baka hindi pa masulit because super active si Anika. She never sits still! However, in the past few days, I noticed whenever I'm eating, she would climb over me, get my spoon and try to feed herself. Super samok I tell you! (samok. umm.. samok is madumi, makalat or magulo)
So we think, ready na siya for her high chair so that she can practice eating by herself albeit all the kalat she'll be doing.

This is very compact but you'd have to make this patong somewhere so medyo hassle diba? Although you can take this with you in your out of town trips. Instant baby chair! |

hello mommy fleur! im kapal, will offer you my unsolicited advice re high chairs =) make sure that anika is ready and willing to sit still first before buying one. we bought an expensive graco high chair for my girl, and every time we put her in it she would climb out!! ayaw niya talaga to be "trapped" in there. so we barely used it and ended up giving it to one of our friends. tsk! having said that, should you decide to buy one, don't be lured into buying the super mahal models with all the bells and whistles. basta matibay, good quality, ok na. your baby will use it maximum baka hanggang 2 years old lang. pag 2 yrs na, di na sila papayag to be placed in a high chair kasi active na sila (based naman sa experience with my eldest daughter). good luck with your search =)
ReplyDeleteStokke is nice but pricey pero I think it will be sulit. Pero naisip ko hindi ba masakit sa pwet kasi walang cushion?
ReplyDeleteI'm using Graco, it's super ok. Nice design too. I bought mine on sale sa SM. Kaya super sulit. Y can't sit still din pero sa high chair ok naman cya. We just give her toys to play with. Alam na nya when we sit her there, time to eat na.
I have to 2 posts on high chair on my blog. I was contemplating on getting a booster chair but I settled for a high chair. :)

mommy fleur! comment ko lang sa ikea, it's not foldable. i was supposed to get that but with the limited space that we have here at home, kaya i opted for the graco kasi foldable :) pero if you have space naman, gora sa IKEA! :)
ReplyDeleteA high chair with height adjustment is a good choice if you plan to use the high chair long-term. You can set the height to be easy on your arms for the first feedings, and remove the tray and adjust the high chair to booster seat height for toddlers later on.
