It starts today!!!!

Don't be fooled! Kahit 10% lang yan, if you buy in bulk, you'll save so much!!!!

I wanna go!!! But I swear, Alvin will definitely be extra mad already if I shop again!!!!

International Symbol for Marriage

This is so funny!!!

I found this in The Blog Queen's site.

I'll show this to hubby tonight! =D

Baby Number 2

NO!

I'm not pregnant again.

Though hubby's dropping OBVIOUS hints already that he wants another baby again. A boy specifically.

Me don't like.

ALVIN: Bakit ba Babe ayaw mo na magbaby ulit?

ME: Is that a question?!?! Have you forgotten what I went through when I was pregnant with Anika?! Kulang na lang pati kaluluwa ko isuka ko araw araw eh!

ALVIN: It will be easier daw Babe pagsecond baby na.

ME: Is that a scientific fact?! Saang encyclopedia makikita yan?! And besides, HELLO! I haven't gone back to my old figure yet tapos mabubuntis na ako agad?!

ALVIN: I love you Babe no matter how you look like. And besides, maganda pagmay ka-laro si Anika.

ME: Bibilhan ko siya ng ka-laro.

ALVIN: Babe, dapat may kakampi si Anika sa life habang lumalaki.

ME: Ako ang kakampi niya. At ikaw ang kalaban namin. (in shopping i mean)

ALVIN: Bilhan kita bag.

ME: Che!!! Hindi mo na ako mauuto dyan!!!

(Ano kayang bag no? I'm dying to own a Goyard! But no. Focus Nana!!)

I wanted to end this conversation already because we both were getting frustrated na. I had to say something to make him stop talking.

ME: Bigyan mo ako five hundred thousand, payag ako.

Silence.

Yey. Tapos na.

Or so I thought.

We were having dinner with my mom and as usual, the topic as usual was a second baby.

ALVIN: Ayaw na nga po Mama ni Nana magbaby eh. Nahihirapan daw siya pagbuntis. Bayaran ko daw ng five hundred thousand para pumayag.

Pakker. Sumbungerong Frog!

MAMA: Five hundred thousand?! Di bale anak ako bahala (and she turns to me). Ako! Ako ang magbabayad sayo ng five hundred thousand, GO, magbaby na kayo.

Connivance ito ateh.

Anyways, before any of you think of me as a selfish b*tch, I have reasons why I don't want to have another baby anymore. Valid reasons. One that tops all my other reasons is... umm.. it's kinda hard to explain so bear with me.

I don't want to have another baby because I might give less love and attention to one of them (or worse, both). I wouldn't be able to bear that. I love my parents to death and I'm forever thankful that they are my parents but they were working all the time (to provide for us obviously) while I was growing up. I don't take it against them kasi naman we all graduated from good schools and had pretty much what we wanted when we were kids. But I have experienced missing them so much that when I wake up in the morning and they've left for work already, I get their clothes from the closet and bring it with me back to bed. And I remember, there was also a time when I was following my mom around the house because I was trying to tell her a joke I heard at school but she wasn't minding me because she was busy doing stuff because she just came home from the office. I felt bad because the joke came out lame and not funny anymore. They were there but not really because their minds were preoccupied with a lot of things. (Which happens a lot to me and Alvin nowadays because of work)

I don't like my kids to feel that way. I want to have time for them. But how?! Now pa lang, hindi na ako magkanda-ugaga sa buhay ko eh. It's hard to juggle the baby, the husband, the house, the work and my needs nowadays. Have you read Topaz Horizon's blog entry about this? It's so true. Tapos madadagdagan pa ng isang baby?! Pano na yun?!

I hope you get what I mean.

Though last weekend, we were watching this noontime show and I saw this adorable little boy dancing so well on stage:

Ang cute cute niya! Girlie said his name is Bugoy Carino. Hay I fell in love sa ka-cute-tan niya!

ME: Babe, parang gusto ko na tuloy ng baby boy. Ang cute oh, lalo na if he'll look like him.

ALVIN: (face lights up) Tara na babe! Umpisahan na natin yan!!!

Ay sauce!!!

Anika Wants To Greet You All...

Lunch at The Red Crab, Newport Mall

Last Sunday, after mass, Me, Alvin, and Anika had lunch with Wowa at the Red Crab Restaurant in Newport Mall. I wish more stores would open in that mall. After lunch, we went around and it only took us 15 minutes. We would've liked to stay longer but there are no more places to go to and no more sights to see.

Anyways here are the photos for that day:

Anika wearing her Gingersnaps dress

Here with Tatay. Notice that she keeps her one leg dangling from her stroller. She does that all the time even if you put back that leg inside the stroller.

Anika with Nanay

Anika with Wowa =)

Our little princess waiting (cutely) for her meal

Getting a tad bid impatient though

Here she is after being fed Earth's Best Carrot food.

Wowa was enjoying watching her because she had quite an appetite that time.

Pictorial in front of the restaurant while waiting for Nanay and Wowa to finish in the washroom

You how did your weekend go? =)

Thoughts Out of Nowhere

Finally met with Jhoanne of Polkadots Events for Anika's party. We were supposed to meet her all the way in Commonwealth (we live in Paranaque) but she called last Saturday to say that she'll be in Palm Grove in Bicutan this Sunday. Alvin says it's a coincidence. I say it's fate.

I'm so going to get her! She's super nice and she won't rip you off! Presently, we are within our budget and I get what I want! =) Me very happy. Hubby somehow is happy too!! (that's a big deal ha!)

-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o

Speaking of birthday parties, I know of some people who are asking why I am spending so much for my daughter's first birthday party which she will not even remember. So impractical daw. One, obviously this party is not mainly for Anika. Half of it is a celebration / thanksgiving for her one year existence and half of it is for Nanay and Tatay to show her off to family and friends. Two, that is what the videographers are for, duh! Videos and pictures to show her what we did for her birthday. Three, we can use our hard earned money for whatever reasons we want. As long as we don't bother anyone for our everyday needs so that we can have something for our luho, I think they should better leave us alone. Besides, anything for Anika is not a waste of money or time.

One of these people is Wowa. We had our birthday parties daw before at home lang. Ay chaka! Di ko type. How can I fit naman a hundred people, magicians, face painter, balloon maker, etc in our tiny house?! She was kinda bothering me already so I told her, "I know you think I am not capable of making ipon for something, but I have changed now. I have a daughter already and no matter what happens, I am going to make tipid and save up so that I can give her a bonggang party!" That hit home and made her quiet for a while, then she asked, "Magkano ba toka ko dyan sa party ng apo ko?!" Hay! Grandmoms! haha!

-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o

I'll never ever going back to Fix Salon in Glorietta for hair treatment. I just had my hair relaxed last July and now (it's only October), my hair looks like that of Snooky Serna before the snakes come out of them in the movie Zuma.

-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o

I need to learn to relax. Not the vacation kind of relaxing but the basic kind of relax. I am too anxious about anything to a point I don't get to enjoy everyday moments. For example, when we are at home and spending time with Anika, I fidget around the room so much that in the end, I don't really get to spend quality time with her. I check her stuff if she's running out of supplies or something. I am OC with the dusts and dirt on the bed that I keep on making palpag. I keep on fixing her hair. I make sure that she doesn't see the TV whenever hubby's watching. See the problem here?

-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o

In total, I have four careers. I am a Civil Engineer, a Wife, a Mother and a Blogger. First and foremost, I am a mother. Hubby understands that at this time, Anika comes before anything. Kaso sometimes, everything becomes overwhelming. I felt it the most this weekend. I have been so busy with work that first time in my entire 30 years, I brought home work. I had to finish two reports that makes my nose bleed. This is also the same time we decided not to make Girlie sleep in our room with us. I want to be full time with Anika at least at night. This is also the time when Alvin, Girlie and our househelp Elvie had colds. This is also the time my wisdom tooth decided to come out, not on it's supposed space but in my gilagid. Seriously. Nakakawindang!!!

-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o

We listen to Good Times with Mo every morning at the radio station 89.9.  One thing we learned from him is that married couples should not call each other, "Daddy", "Mommy", "Nanay", "Tatay". It kills the romance in the relationship. He's right. Now we resumed calling each other Babe even if we are in front of Anika.

Chocolate Goodness!!

Look at what I'm munching on in the office:

Chocolate covered chocolate biscuit sticks!!! Yum yum!!! Bought it for Php 75 only =) It's similar to that of the Jack and Jill pretzel but this one kasi has CHOCOLATE biscuit underneath with thick as in thick chocolate coating! Super sulit talaga!

Once I opened it, may nanghihingi na agad! Guess who's hand is that! haha! The chocolate sticks are a hit here at the office!

Do you want to order? Let me know! We'll ask mommy Rhea! =)

Christmas Party 2010 (Another Hubby Kwento)

Before reading this, I have to tell you that my hubby is an old Filipino movies fanatic. Yang mga lumang pelikulang black and white, alam niya yan. Title, names of the actors and actresses and the plot, kabisado niya. Fernando Poe Jr., gustong gusto niya mga movies nun. Bagets movie, hindi mo mapapaalis sa harap ng TV yan with matching dictation of the names of the artistas coming on screen, presently dead or alive.

Anyways, my hubby and I were in the car on our way home from the office.

ME: Babe, movies yung theme namin this Christmas Party. Action films yung department namin.

ALVIN: Magcocostume ka?

ME: Oo kasi may cash price yung best in costume.

ALVIN: May cash price!? Tara karireen natin yang costume mo! Magcostume ka ng SISA. Yun movie ni Alma Moreno.

ME: SISA?! Wala ka talagang kwentang kausap Babe! Lahat na lang sayo joke!

ALVIN: Seryoso yun Babe. Naka-Muslim attire siya dun tpos may dalang itak.

ME: Ewan ko sayo!!! SISA?! Ikaw lang ata may alam nun eh!

ALVIN: Uy di ah. Dun kaya sumikat si Alma Moreno.

Whatever!

Friday's Restaurant

One of my good friends in college will be getting married this December and I'm so excited about it!! First, they've been going out for ages already. Second, the wedding will be in Tagaytay. Third, I would love to see her in her wedding gown. I swear now pa lang, I think I'll cry! And fourth, I can't wait to wear my bridesmaid gown!!!

Our gowns were made by Cris Diaz. I dunno if known na siya but he shares his atelier with Joel Escober in Las Pinas. I so love Cris Diaz!! Not only because he is the splitting image of Piolo Pascual but also because our gowns were beautifully made!! I so wish I got him for my wedding gown na lang. Hay!

Anyways, we went to their shop to fit the gowns. After, we went to Alabang Town Center to have our lunch at Friday's restaurant. Hindi niyo naitatanong but my favorite restaurant of all time is Friday's. I can eat there everyday and not make sawa!

Here are what we ordered:

Mabel ordered Fajitas. Yummy yummy!!

Aileen ordered this fish which looks yummy and Ai also thought so =)

I ordered the Mushroom, Chicken and Mushroom. I forgot na that this tastes so good pala. It's been a while since I ordered this kasi eh.

Alvin ordered Cajun Chicken Fingers. He ALWAYS orders this dish whenever we're in Fridays.

Haaayyy.. Sarap sarap!

You, what's your favorite restaurant? =)

The Tale of the Bags

One weekend afternoon, we heard a loud "kalabog" in the other room. I got scared because I thought somebody got inside our house. Alvin checked it out and saw that my coat bag stand fell.

ME: Bakit nalaglag na lang bigla?!

ALVIN: Sa dami ng nakasabit, bumigay na.

Yea, one of its foot gave out already. And the bags all look like this:

Ang gulo gulo!!

One time I read in the Bag Hag Diaries that she was a hoarder. She buys a lot of things but doesn't use them. I am like that. I buy and buy and buy but I don't use them often. My Havaianas for example. I own 25 pairs. But I only use like 2 pairs often. I just like looking at them all lined up, sitting prettily in my room. Now I became a mom and had a new job, I don't use any of them at all! Sayang the money!

When it comes to my bags naman, I'm like that too. I have lots, accumulated from all these years. But I don't use them all naman. I seldom change my bags because I feel lazy transferring all the contents from one bag to another. Sheeeshh..

Anyways, because the other room became crowded with the bags, I felt it was time to edit them. I have to choose what to throw or give away or what to keep. One by one, I analyzed each while being sentimental about letting go.

Here are only the bags I kept. The more expensive ones are inside their dust bags in my closet.

The others I threw away kasi super luma na pala. While the others I gave away. Girlie and Elvie was so happy with the bags they got. Tingnan mo nga naman ang life. Sometimes we take advantage of what we have samantalang others will be very happy kahit hindi bago.

Anyways, while editing my bags, I saw this small, red, Marithe + Francios Girbaud bag. This was the first ever bag that Alvin gave me when he first started working, way back in the late 90's. Cute no?

And this was the bag that Alvin had made with our pictures in it. This is the one side:

And this is on the other side:

Nice gift for christmas no?

So there you go. Organized na ulit my konting bags. I don't dare ask hubby yet when I can buy new ones to replace those I threw and gave away. May I'll ask him after he forgets the things I bought in the Forever 21 sale =)

Anika Learns To Sit By Herself

How time flies! Parang kelan lang, I felt so impatient because all our baby girl would do was to sleep, feed and cry day in and day out. Now, our little princess can sit by herself!!!

Pictures for this milestone below. Warning: cuteness overload!!!

Hay! We so love Anika!!! =D

Look Listen and Learn: Educational DVDs

Last Sunday, Wowa went to our house to give her belated 6th month birthday gift to Anika.

Her gift was a set of educational CDs of Look, Listen and Learn by Rodolfo C. Torres.

This compilation is great for babies (newborn) up to kids 12 years old. Here are what your kids can learn from these CDs:

We tried playing the ABC and Numbers on our DVD player. It was cute. Although, it's not the cartoon type ha? For example, they'll teach you letters. For letter A, it'll teach you how to pronounce it. And then will show real pictures of Apples, Ape etc. May narrator, parang ganun. It was complicated for my 6th month old so we tried playing naman the nursery rhymes. It was better. Someone is singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star for example. And ang nakashow sa TV are just cartoon pictures of a night sky. Something like that.

I recommend this product although baka I'll mix that with personally teaching Anika when she grows up. Iba din kasi ang face to face and interaction with parents while learning right? =)

P.S.
If you are interested in the product, let me know. We'll ask Wowa where she bought it =)
