... because Anika fell from our bed at 2 o clock in the morning last night!!
We were already sleeping when I heard Girlie scream. During that micro second while my eyes were still closed, I knew Anika fell from our bed. It was my first experience with mother's instincts. I got up and went to the side where I felt she fell in one fluid motion. The weird thing is that she wasn't crying when I saw her. She was laying on her back with a shocked look on her face. I immediately carried her and she fell asleep after 5 seconds. So weird.
When I finally put her back to bed (with me getting all our pillows and putting it around the edge of the bed), I surveyed how she fell. Girlie said that she woke up from her sleep because something by her foot was moving. She felt for Anika but she couldn't find her beside her. She felt Anika's crib move away from her feet and saw Anika fell. Yes. Sa sobrang likot ni Anika matulog, naitulak niya yung crib niya nahumaharang sana sa bed. I wasn't able to go back to sleep!!!
We decided to put her in her crib when she sleeps. However, she keeps on waking up because she moves around a lot and she gets irritated when she's at one side and she can't roll over anymore. So we put her back to our bed with a lot of anti-falling to the floor strategies.
When I told this story at the office, it seemed that EVERYONE's baby fell from the bed at least once!! My mom even called me up when I texted her. She said I fell also before but thankfully was caught by the kulambo. Hehe.
On a lighter note, Anika pulled herself up in a sitting position by herself around 15 minutes ago. How cool is that?! My baby girl's growing up too fast!!!
