The New Newport Mall

Yesterday's traffic was horrible. When I checked fb in my phone, my friends said that there were multiple collision in the Alabang area plus a giant truck was stalled in Bicutan. So you can just imagine the traffic right? Hubby and I decided to take the skyway going home but it was also not  moving so we exited in Nichols thinking we could just take Tramo going to Multinational. However, it was so traffic too! I was so atat pa naman to go home so that I could catch Anika while she's awake. Anyhoo, we stopped over na lang at Resorts World. We parked the car in the building and went inside this entrance. Eto ang bumulaga sa amin!

Unknowingly, we entered the Newport Mall!!! It was so pretty inside!! Talk about serendipity!! Finding good things accidentally and unexpectedly!

The Newport Mall is connected to the Resorts World casino. I think bagong bago pa this mall. Although there were restaurants and stores open already, there were some pa na soon to open.

They have also a fantastic cinema! One cinema has stadium style seating with fully reclining seats with extended leg rests similar to that of Lazy Boy's. That cinema has also unlimited drinks and popcorn delivered by their personal butlers. Ofcourse, fantastic din ang price. If you want to watch in this cinema, it will cost you Php 500 / person. They also have three other cinemas with stadium style seating and Paragon 755 rocker seats. Tickets varies from Php 200-300.

The view from the second floor is like this:

There's Mango here! =)

After going around, we ate at The Red Crab for dinner. We had:

Prinitong Bangus with Garlic. The size is so big! It can be shared by 3 people siguro. I dunno what the dips are though. I only tried the brown one and it tastes like bagoong. It was so delicious with the fish

I ordered Prawns Adobo with Aligue. It was heaven!!! Nanakit nga lang head ko after. Simot sarap eh! =)

Hubby and I shared this Crab Rice. Ohhh... Super duper delicious. This can be shared by 2-3 people. If you have too much nga lang, medyo nakakaumay na.

Hubby ordered Rellenong Crab. Okay lang the taste. I'm not fan of rellenos eh. I eat it though because kawawa naman yung gumawa. You get the meat from it then you stuff it back to the crab shell. Effort na effort eh.

All in all, I say the food was excellent!! Delicious to the highest level!!! Hay! My poor diet. Neglected na naman. In fairnes ha? I haven't been eating rice for two weeks already =)

Anyways, then the bill came.. Anakanang Prinitong Pusa O! Php 1,600 for just one meal!!! Birthday ko ateh ha?! Birthday ko ba?! Nakakaloka! I was thinking tuloy, if we just braved the traffic na lang, di na sana kami gumastos ng ganito. (ken, may I borrow?!) "Pumayat ka na, nakatipid ka pa!" Choz!

To those who cannot relate:
For us living here in our beloved third world country, we do not normally spend $30 for one meal. Usually mga $5 ganyan, diba?

ALVIN: Wag ka na manghinayang babe. Food naman yan eh.

ME: Hindi eh. Sale sa Forever 21 this weekend. May dalawang clothes na siguro ako dyan sa kinain natin!

PAK!

  1. Love this post of yours. We too were surprised by how much our bill was, but it was worth it because Dad was happy on his birthday.

  2. The restaurants under the Red Crab Group are really good. I especially like their Crustacea at Rockwell, yung mga Indonesian dishes nila doon panalo! :)
