Anika's First Fruit

Dra. Capeding, Anika's pedia, instructed us that when she reaches her sixth month, we can feed her fruits already. We can mix it with her cereals so that hindi siya masyadong manibago.

So first, I had Girlie buy her bananas which I cut in small sizes

And then, I got Anika's Munchkin Baby Food Grinder out. I love this! I bought it way back last August and I have been waiting for the time to use it.

I placed the bananas inside and turned the turner until mashed bananas came out. Easy right?

Then I scooped 1 tablespoon of Anika's organic baby rice.

Put milk in it to achieve my desired consistency.

And mixed it with the bananas.

No more pictures of us feeding Anika because when I fed her with this, she threw it up. I tried again but she threw up na talaga ng bongga! Poor baby. Her face was all scrunched up. Di niya type ang food! I smelled it and it smelled yucky nga naman. I didn't taste it anymore kasi ewwww (shuddering....)

So, we tried potatoes na lang muna. We boiled it and put it inside the food processor again. This time, Anika likes it na (thank God!).

Mommies, what else can I feed Anika? The one i can put inside the baby food grinder ha?

  4. hi fleur. you can try carrots, sweet potato, squash, and potato. what you can do is buy siguro 1 small jar of commercial baby food, ( i recommend earth's best-organic sya. available at healthy options) so that you can get an idea of the desired consistency.

btw, si andi ayaw nya lagyan ng milk pag veggies and fruits eh. baka ganun din si anika. like nya lang ang milk pag cereal/oatmeal ang hahaluan. =)

  7. Hi Sis,

a n@wie here. You may try banana some other time. My mom suggested to get latundan for my Bella which is more healthier and easy to digest. You may want to read my blog,

I also searched on it and most of what I read was also saying the same.

    HTH.
